    I love looking in churches, & that one was really nice. Ripley itself is a quaint little village & lovely walks. Hope you're having a lovely time. Linda xx ❤

    Hi Bob and Jenny and Poppy, a nice castle, very pretty church, made me smile when Poppy wasn’t interested in the water, Archie would be just the same. Loved the walk down Holly Bank Lane and the waterfall. Lovely and peaceful with just the birds. Thank you for sharing x Julie and Tony

    Looks a pretty place, I like the stonework on the houses in the area. We must take a visit over the Pennines soon 😎 Thanks, Em 💜

    What a lovely place ? We have yet to tour Yorkshire. Our next imminent tour is to South Wales, heading toward Tenby and Saundersfoot. However, there is a lot of Summer touring to come. Thanks for sharing these places on your channel. Dave and Soph x

    It’s lovely place isn’t it - a couple of years ago, a friend of mine was over from the states and we walked from Harrogate centre (just past Asda) to Ripley and has a well deserved pint in the pub! Nice to look around a bit further in to Ripley than we got (as we had to head back to Harrogate). Brought back memories of a lovely day!
    Thanks for sharing, all the best, David & Rachel 👍

    I don't think i have ever been in the church at Ripley, great how dogs are welcome in the church but not an old castle 🙂

      I know. I always support churches that let dogs in.

    Did a 7 mile walk around Ripley and the Castle last month, nice place. I’d definitely go do it again!

    If you walk to end of hollybank lane to the cottage there’s a gate once though the gate turn right in front of the house follow the sign marked footpath the path takes you back to the park wall where you head back to Ripley or you can turn left and head to the road where you can walk back to the village hope that helps

    It always amazes me how many places that want tourists won’t allow dogs, other countries don’t seem to have a problem. Very odd and annoying. I meant to ask how is Poppy paw and tummy now, I hope everything is better.❤️❤️❤️ I see Poppy is as picky about which water bowl she drinks out off just like my Coco.

    Hi Bob is it walkable distance from the site into Ripley.?

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Don't know it was a 10 drive so I imagine about 5 miles.

    • @winkle1008

      It's about 4 miles so about an hour although there's not a lot of pavement and turning right from Scotton where the site is located the speed limit jumps to 60mph after about 100 yards. There is Ripley caravan park very close to the Ripley roundabout. It's about a 15 min walk to the castle from there. Fountains Abbey is around a 20 minute drive from either site and they have good parking for motorhomes of varying length.
      I live just off the A59 Knareborough Road.
