Throwing a tantrum every 5 minutes like an angry kid is weak, but when someone truly crosses the line that's the time to get nasty, Aidan knew when to pick his moments. That made him unpredictable hence everyone underestimated him at first but paid for it later, Aidan would get under your skin before he even got angry. He rarely got angry most the time calm and collected because he was already 2 steps ahead of you, and he could go 100 at any moment when he felt necessary too , big difference to acting like a angry school kid.
He's not saying don't be angry, he's saying don't show it. Basically, when you're out to get someone, keep your anger hidden & make sure they don't see you coming.
One of my favourite recent villains in Eastenders. He played the part perfectly and was a proper old school villain. I hope he does make a return being he has connects with Ray.
Steve Owen was a good villain. He was in an era when Easteneders reached its peak. Steve Owen/ Mathew Rose storyline has to be one of the best ever in the soap.
EE Scenes 85 aha np mate! I'll never forget the scene where Aidan was talking about Den Watts, Gavin Sullivan etc to Vincent! Just shows how connected Aidan was to EE before he even joined 😂
I really enjoyed Aidan . He was a really entertaining villain With Phil turning “informant” (I say in speech marks as he said he was stringing Keeble along), it’d be the right time to bring him back 😃😃
Billy when he's handed the gun was fucking hilarious 😂😂😂😂 Once again, YESSSS PHIIIIIIL! And Jack coming through for his smooch buddy Mick. #MackBromance 😍
@Mycroft Holmes that's why in my opinion there's a good chance the show will have aidans character return at some point within the next 3years especially since kate oakes joined the soap
Wouldn't mess with that guy, his heavies that back him up are just the tip of the iceberg, he is no doubt connected to the boys back in Ireland, if you know what I mean, but being a soap Phil wins in an unrealistic way.
@@rossrobson1045 Dennis got away with shooting Jack Dalton who was a bigger threat than Aidan and he failed to finish off Johnny after beating him up which resulted in his death. If Dennis was more ruthless, he’d still be alive.
Right away the whole planting the gun doesn't make sense, he literally identifys himself aa the one who put it there. Even gets the barmaid to confirm.... Why did Mick even give a shit???
I enjoyed Aidan. They could have gone further with him, maybe some room for more exciting stories. But. I remember at the time, many people complained about this storyline and character, because for the last ten years, EastEnders viewers rather have pregnancy storylines, or love affairs. Long gone are the days of excitement for gangster/villain storylines (Jack Dalton, Andy Hunter, Johnny Allen). EastEnders was at its best 20 years ago
I'm sorry but I changed my mind about Aidan, he was a dumb villain for me He didn't know who messed with him so he kept jumping around the square like a blind bunny, coming to stupid conclusions and ideas like thinking a soft man like Billy would mess with him and then kept messing around with Mick, wasting his and Mick's time. Clearly he was taking his anger out on Mick because he wasn't winning. I understand him giving Vincent trouble due to what Vincent did to his brother so why didn't he mess with Vincent and his family more instead of messing with Mick and his family, messing with Mick was a waste of time, Mick's too tough to let Vincent give him trouble, I also get that he wanted to make more money so that's why he got that guy to do that illegal business in the pub's bathroom but he should of done that to Vincent instead cause he could of got more with Vincent due to Vincent obviously being scared stiff of him then. And doing illegal stuff in a popular pub is more likely to get caught by the old bill then doing it in Vincent's places I know he was making plenty of money from Mick's pub but he still didn't get much for the villain he is. I know he was messing with Mick due to "control" according to him but you'd think that he started to realise that he wasting his time with Mick but nope. But to be honest, I still enjoyed the story and Aidan still has some good moments
Even the toughest people walk in walford and there still scared of phile haha phile Mitchell will always be the king and grant eastenders wouldn't be eastenders withought phil and grant kings of the square.
GhulGaming Because most of the Square are wimps compared to the old days except for Phil and maybe Jack. Dirty Den and Jonny Allen would have got rid of this guy without even blinking.
So... does Aidan just go around threatening and blackmailing people into giving him money? He is obsessed with it. Why is Eastenders going all mafia like? Plus, where are they getting those bloody guns from!?
@@Eastenders9 yes, sharon was big once, but still attractive, bernie has always been a slob, the actress is getting a good salary; no excuse to be obese
Even though he's a fictional character that bit of advice he gave at the start is absolutely right.
I know i've already seen most of these videos years ago but once in a while i like to come back and watch them again just to refresh my mind.
It's funny how he contradicts himself; "showing anger makes you weaker".

Its not necessarily a contradiction it can be a very bad thing and mean you are out of control and will only damage yourself.
He's not saying don't be angry, he's saying don't show it. Basically, when you're out to get someone, keep your anger hidden & make sure they don't see you coming.
