HELP if anyone reading this is an SCP expert, I'm trying to recall a specific one which was a supposed cognito hazard on paper and therefore only D-class were allowed to read. It "supposedly" makes you forget stuff but in actuality were just instructions from the previous D-class to play along and pretend they forgot things after reading the piece of paper. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Edit: someone found it! Its 1693. Thanks to everyone who helped!
"You see the light of long-dead stars. Your existence is nothing but the echo of a dying God's screams. The unseen convergence surrounds you and it tightens, like a noose." HOLD UP. I wonder if this is the hint behind the reason the 5000 verse went to pot? Maybe what the Foundation discovered is that Humanity is not "real," but we are merely constructs of some Pattern Screamer, being manipulated subtly? Part of why this comes to mind is that there's some backing to this statement. Specifically, SCP 2154 is a Real-Time Telescope that shows that, yes, 72% of all stellar objects we normally see are, in fact, dead or otherwise hidden. If this theory is true, it would explain a few things: 1) why Humanity is capable of Reality-Warping, either intrinsically or gained (like alchemy/thaumaturgy/anomalous art) and 2) how we can make things more "real" by believing in them. If we aren't a naturally-occurring form, but rather something conjured up by a Pattern Screamer, than we wouldn't "fit" with the typical rules of the "pattern." Between SCP 2000's existence and how liberally the GOC & Foundation [expunge], Redact or hide dangerous info (including with Amnestics) the question is raised of "Just how accurate IS our recorded history and knowledge base?." Maybe the World isn't anomalous. WE ARE.
Mate, you don't need to let them know the truth. Take a moment to respirate and look at the space between your reflection touching the mirror's surface and your own hand, and think of the absence of nothing. If that made any sense to you, welcome to the world of the aware, things are about to get strange.
Wow, this was another outstanding video. The connection to scp 035, the sarkics, deavites, and SCP 507 was amazing. This is definitely one of my favorite scps now.

Just gotta say: I would love to see an epic continental spanning war between the followers of the hanged king, scarlet king, the Church of the Broken God and the Sarkicks
Honestly it sounds a lot like like Planescape, maybe that strikes yoi fancy, it's mostly known for it DND Module and Video game Planescape Torment though
A movie about the hanged king's tragedy would be dope. The weird thing is the king in yellow is itself derived from superstitions around the Scottish play. So the it's almost like this whole thing is a cognito hazard that keeps evolving and breaking another 4th wall. First by effecting the player, then effecting the audience making them part of the play, then evolving further to effect the audience of the audience.
How much are these agents paid exactly? Tons of them die in missions so how do they sustain all these loss? Surely there must be a very tempting contract for these people to sign up to certain madness/death/ worse.
I would imagine that they would get paid quite well and potentially receive notable benefits (if they survive of course). Also, I feel that the actual losses are not quite as big as they seem, as the dangerous ones (that kill more people) are more likely to end up as SCPs, while the more harmless items don't. So maybe for every mission that involves people dying, there are a couple dozen that have no casualties. However, this is really just a question of personal interpretation.
Noob Noob There’s lots of tales that explain that all agents are compensated extremely well. Specifically the riskiest MTF’s get paid a lot and their families are looked after if they are killed in action. Agents are also sourced from the military - so they’re all highly trained and in the grand scheme of things, not that many MTF agents are actually killed. The highest casualties mainly seem to stem from alternate dimensions where the foundation is biting off more than they can chew - for instance it’s stated that only a minimum of 3 agents are required to recontain 682.
How can they train new recruits with how quickly and often they die? That's a far more interesting question, IMO. Skilled fighter pilots, for example, were not just given a 6 week flying lesson and tossed into a jet.
That's one of the issues with the expanding SCP universe. Before a few hundred anomalous objects that require 1-2 thousands of personnel to keep away from the world might be believable, but now there are thousands of SCPs, some require the full might of a small nation to contain. One canon is that the Foundation is never that big, and due to end-of-the-world scenarios, never really had as many SCPs as the wiki contains at once. One canon is the Foundation uses anomalous means to create manpower. The other is that the anomalous community truly has more control over the non-anomalous one, such that thousands or even tens of thousands of personnel are hidden from the light of day and no one really notices it because they control everything.
The Sheet of Music, SCP-012 is possibly related to the Hanged King, seeing as it's something that makes the subject unwillingly trick itself to finish the piece of sheet music. The Coffin, 895, could also be related due to having the same effects, only via through the screen if i remember correctly.
Earlier this year, before the outbreak, my schools drama department put on a production called Trap, a sort of horror-thriller that ends in a final scene where audience plants “die” in their seats. There is the possibility that SCP-3812 seems to have erased Alagadda from the existence on whatever the main universe of the canon is. While I am not sure how I feel about this, it certainly does explain why, if that tail is taken as true, the kingdom no longer exists on earth
Ugh. I would hate that personally but 3812 is an OP SCP for sure. I prefer to think the Kingdom itself is abstract and that it's a lot harder to remove it then just nuking a city. It is a concept, then again 3812 can destroy concepts and ascend as it seems.

I personally don’t think the tale is canon, because major timeline issues and the fact that 701-1 is an extremely ancient eldrich entity, as described in the Wanderers library
"Alagada" means "Flooded" in portuguese, maybe "Alaggada" is in Latim, wich has many words similar to the ones found in the portuguese lenguage. The king in yellow is awsome really creepy mysterious entity.
"You see the light of long-dead stars. Your existence is nothing but the echo of a dying God's screams. The unseen convergence surrounds you and it tightens, like a noose."
HOLD UP.
If we aren't a naturally-occurring form, but rather something conjured up by a Pattern Screamer, than we wouldn't "fit" with the typical rules of the "pattern." Between SCP 2000's existence and how liberally the GOC & Foundation [expunge], Redact or hide dangerous info (including with Amnestics) the question is raised of "Just how accurate IS our recorded history and knowledge base?."
Maybe the World isn't anomalous. WE ARE.
Holy shit the "dying god" mentioned possibly being the entity in 5000 is actually a really good theory

Ambassador: *UNINTELLIGIBLE*
Translation: "Do you get to the cloud district often?..."
This is probably my favorite SCP story by far, and while I would never want to visit this realm in any capacity the idea of it is awesome.

I just started watching these and they're super interesting. I'm glad you found my recommended :)
Noob Noob
There’s lots of tales that explain that all agents are compensated extremely well.
Perfect music choice 👌

As an artist, Hastur always has a special place in my mind- I mean heart...
Earlier this year, before the outbreak, my schools drama department put on a production called Trap, a sort of horror-thriller that ends in a final scene where audience plants “die” in their seats.
This SCP reminds me of that production, now I want to write a Hanged Kings Tragedy where audience plants go mad and assault each other, while the King sits onstage surrounded with the “corpses” of the actors, crew, techies, and even the director who all took each other’s lives in fits of massive violence

"The Hanged King's Tragedy" is the love-child of Shakespeare's most bloody tragedies.
Does kind of sound like Hamlet with a bit of Macbeth mixed in.
All four of those colours and lords in allegada also represent the four points/ colours on the native American medicine wheel
Huh, I had always assumed it had to do with the four humors theory.
To me it seemed more like 3812 is saying that 3812 is the reason Alaggada is so distant from our world, it started as part of ours, but was removed by the entity and now exists in this interdimensional limbo.
I believe that "he" relocated Alagadda after that XK event since "he" probably liked it or the people who knows it liked it.
TheLuckySpades Actually 3812 was attempted to be terminated by The KoA
I personally don’t think the tale is canon, because major timeline issues and the fact that 701-1 is an extremely ancient eldrich entity, as described in the Wanderers library
