Very impressive Theirllusion. I haven't played Spiral Knight for long time because Grey Haven haven't really added too long and Shadow Lair lost the tough (made it unnecessary hard with reward same). Zombie strat at 4:10 is amazing (tough to execute there. I see you have 3 players at triangle formation charging blitz needle while having 1 player pushing them carefully into other players). I actually check the Vanaduke boss speed [Spiral Knights] Vanaduke Bossfight World Record - Under 53 Seconds! Not sure of difficulty you are playing (Normal, Advance or Elite). Impressive you manage to down Vanaduke in 50 seconds (when you engage at Vanaduke when firewall disappear to point where Vanaduke HP hit 0). If only if the game skip the Vanaduke death animation which take like 7 seconds, you would have got 8:18.5 approx. Also Great Drakon Frenized Firestorm Rotation. I wonder if you have one player using Maskeraith with amazing Deadly Shadow Cloak and that player get ko on purpose and time it right so all other members hit the party button just before that player revive. (Also at Depth 25, that player with Maskeraith take maybe Turret Room TOP LEFT). Think you probably try that. Not sure if that improve this speed run. Lastly, i noticed you run the game at low detail/resolution. I take it that if you run the game at high resolution, you probably encounter very annoying lags. Keep up the good work. Congrats!!!!
Thank you for the kind and very long comment, much appreciated! Ye the bump strat only works in a full party, in trios or duos the regular blitz strat is the only fast option so far. We actually do run on elite, any other difficulty is very frowned upon not only in the speedrun community but the game community as well. I've had the thought about 3 drakons and a mask, but I feel like the loss of ability 2 is far too much of a loss in order to save a little on the boss fight. Running the game plain, 32bit, high graphics or without knight launcher adds alot of frame lag and loading time.
