Always enjoyed watching Lynn pitch. At 6-5, 280, no BS, no bones about it, he's coming right after you. He was a throw back pitcher. Honestly wouldn't mind seeing him as a Cardinals pitching coach.

Not a bad start last night! Good outing by Lance Lynn! Been watching him his whole career. This was a good year for him compared to last. If he goes out on this note it's a good note and we shall miss him!

They should let Goldie walk after this year and slide walker to first base.
Walker is a pretty big target let him frank thomas it at first and mash homers to make up for his defensive woes😅

LL was awsome for 6! That new changeup was very good and interesting! Like the Grit! If Verlander and Moyer can pitch past 40 no reason that Lynn cant..hes pretty healthy with the shoulder and arm over the years..hopefully the knee is just a hiccup. Great Job Lance your a real Grinder and a competitor.. thankyou👍😠⚾️🏆

Calm down Sparky! He beat a last place team that's 16 games out. I was more excited about Big Baker legging out a triple with a hook slide! 🤣👍 In all seriousness, If this was it in the Majors I'd like to thank him for what he's done for this team. More past than present. Best wishes Big Fella! 😉👍

Got to love Lance Lynn. A true innings eater when in his prime. You don’t see that much anymore. And I totally agree about Mcgreevy. I feel like this strategy of bring guys up and trying them in the bullpen to start goes all the way back to Wainwright. Because they did that with him in 2011 and it worked. And they’ve been doing it ever since , But most players aren’t as talented or as confident as Waino was.

Selfishly, I am somewhat hoping Lynn retires after this season so he can go out on a happy note after a great last game in a Cardinals uniform. It definitely feels like the last vestiges of the 2004 - 2015 run are finally coming to an end, with the potential of Lance Lynn, Matt Adam, and Matt Carpenter all potential retiring as Cardinals.
Definitely agree with the take on MgGreevy -- I am ready to embrace the youth movement and have the team focus on growth the next couple years. At some point, the Cardinals' FO will have to accept that most rookie pitchers are going to splash onto the scene like Paul Skenes, and we need to let some of these young guys take their licks at the MLB level. Likewise, it's been fun watching Walker throughout September, who is just shy of a .900 OPS for the month. You can definitely still see some of his struggles and shortcomings in certain games or at bats, but he's also managed to come through plenty of times in the last couple weeks.

I joked here, when we signed Lynn, that I would buy seats in the outfield for any games he pitches, because it would be a good chance to catch a home run ball. But underneath that joke, I thought he'd be better than he was in 2023, because he immediately got better last year when he left the losing White Sox and joined the winning Dodgers. I'm very happy with the way he's pitched overall with St Louis this year, enough so that I think the club should exercise his option for 2025. That is especially true if Mo doesn't sign Kitteredge. Lance would make a very good set-up reliever working shorter innings in situations that matter. Would Lance agree? We don't know, but he should be asked to come back. (Gibson too, for that matter)

Now that the Cards have caught up with the Cubs, could St. Louis fans at least awaken to the fact that this group, as flawed as the Mo-produced roster may be, has been grinding away, and some good things have happened. Given the first half, which none of us would have predicted (with Goldie virtually hapless and Nolan not Nolan; with no real pitching rotation), THESE GUYS HAVE IMPRESSED ME. Yes, we need a different group of player-develop experts, someone who can help a hitter get going! Yes, Walker needs to go and spend months with a former Card’s right fielder (who helped his sons develop as hitters). The stance has to be tweaked; the ability to cover the outside & low pitch is all that has him screwed up. Surely an expert could help him. He still shows what was messed up: trying to get a young, young player learn (for the first time in his whole life) play RIGHT FIELD at he same time he is to focus. On launch angle. All that is idiot thinking! There is a right field is harder. You can easily pick up on reading a pitch and getting a jump from left field and center; it is hard for a guy who never played the outfield to pick up the ball (often coming off a right hand hitting dude’s bat). He has too much in his head. You don’t take a guy who just needs to “see the ball and hit it” (Mickey Mantle) and make him a Ted Williams (greatest Red Sox hitter of all time, who saw hitting as a “science”). Fill an athlete’s head with a lot of over-think and you can ruin him. Cards need to grow a brain. HAVING RANTED, LET ME SAY THAT I AM SITTING HERE IN CALIFORNIA (STILL A LIFELONG CARDS’ FAN AT 78) AND HOPING THE CARDS CAN GET TO 82 WINS! IF SO, LET THE HATERS SHUT UP! GIVE THESE YOUNG CARDS A HAND FOR R BATTLING; GIVE THEM CREDIT FOR USING A YEAR TO GET IT TOGETHER FOR 2025! GIVE THEM A COUPLE MORE ASSETS & THINK GREAT 2025! WE HAVE A STARTER WE DID NOT SEE COMING. WE HAVE SOME EXCITING DEVELOPMENTS; WE HAVE DECISIONS TO MAKE ON GOLDIE; BUT GIVE THEM CREDIT. We did not complain or stay at home in 2006, yet this team has a chance to win more games than they did! Yes, I despise Mo! But that is never an excuse to quit on the young Cards! I brag to all Californians that STL is not a fair-weather fan club. GET BACK IN THE SEAT!

I know we thought we fleeced the Rockies back when we got the Arenado trade done.
But the coors effect is real and definitely has had a chokehold on Nolan since he left.
He hasn’t looked the same at the plate since he got here and flails at every pitch he sees.
Love the defense but I’d rather let Arenado and Goldy both walk and eat the arenado contract and let these younger guys get reps in.
I’m tired of the way arenado and goldy just look defeated on every plate appearance before they even swing the bat.

Still promoting Walker, I see, JD. He looks terrible in all his at-bats last night, but he gets lucky and hits one out and that generates a chapter in this video? C'mon, he still looks bad at the plate, no improvement going on there. We need to trade him for pitching, so I don't mind if he has a few lucky games, because it improves his trade value. But this doesn't really change his usefulness in StL. These late season games against non-contenders don't matter, and Pittsburgh's pitcher proved that by throwing him inside, when the whole of MLB knows by now not to groove fastballs there or hang curve balls inside. Pitches don't have to be outside, you can throw pitches right down the middle and Walker will K-out, but never throw to the inside corner. Even the 5-5 day in NY happened when the Yankees looked hungover and phoned in a game, it wasn't Walker "learning" anything.
