I missed the kickstarter, but I preordered the game today! Ark Nova, Terraforming Mars, Wingspan, Everdell... all lovely fun games with a lot of cards, and I think this one fits nicely between them. I'll be trying out the game tonight on Tabletopia. Thank you for your excellent level of explanation.

Really comprehensive and helpful video! I particularly enjoyed the massive two-handed hand of cards you had to demonstrate the fact there’s no limit on how many cards you can hold lol

We tried the Game today, it was a pleasure to Play. It is very different and Just satisfying.
Two minor Things you didnt mention: are the Event cards' effects for everyone or Just for the one who played them?
And If I activate a card's ability and there are two actions on there (Like Take 2 growth and Mulch two cards') do I have to do both or May I Just Pick one ignoring the other?
Events only affect the person who played them.
All effects are optional, unless it is a cost, in which case, it must be paid in full.

This reminds me of Race for the Galaxy.
This plays like an advanced/improved version of Ark nova, sans the stupid scoring mechanic, and with a side of Gizmo's engine builder mechanic. The best of both worlds with none of the nonce.

Great tutorial, but I have question for turn/action step.
So, the active player choose an action and marked it with the "active player token". It is clear. But regarding the rulebook, the other players can choose this action or repeat the same action from their last turn.
I mean, for instance, the first round the active player choose the 'planting' action. Everybody marked it with their own 5th leaf token. Then the next player choose the growth action. Everyone else can choose this growth action, or the planting because that was ther last action. Am I wrong?

The other players MUST do the same action as chosen by the active player. What the rulebook is saying is that the active player has complete freedom in the action they choose - it could be the same action another player just did, or the same action they last did, etc. But every other player must follow the active player.

The negative compost symbol on some action cards - the minus sign before the leaf with the recycle arrows - do those go back in your hand or out of the game forever? Thanks!
It means “spend” so you discard it to the discard pile.

Thanks for the kind words. At the end of the last year, I did a series of videos where I ranked my entire collection. At the end of part 3 is the final list - however, the ranking system couldn't cope with that many games, and the end result isn't that accurate, but you will get a good idea.

How necessary is the beginner game? Have to do it every time a new player joins?
I always do, but you don't NEED to. I know a lot of people who just throw people in with everything from game 1.
How does one integrate the end game VP cards that came with the Kickstarter? I can't find it in the rulebook
Honestly, I don't know. I think I have those too, but not used them. If you find out, let me know :)
@@GamingRulesVideos I found out what the deal is. The bag they come in has a sticker that explains it. You simply pick one of them per game and put it next to the board and that one card is in effect for everyone at the table.

is this good? It looks really cute and everything but I looked at the playthrough on TTS a few months ago and to me it doesn´t seem like it offer alot apart from the cute theme and nice artwork?
I can't really tell you whether it is good or not as this was a commissioned video. However, I can give you the thoughts of the other people I played it with on a games day (3 games, 6 different other players) - they all loved it. But not everyone likes the same sort of games. For me, it is a good weight / depth / complexity / length of game, and it plays smooth.

I had a question about the terrain cards that say you can’t use a specific colored action, when can you not use that colored action? During the round that it was played?

Sorry one more question, if your doing your action order from top left column to bottom right column on your tableaux do you have to activate all of that specific actions on all the cards that have it?
I thought the rules say that you must only plant new card over, under, left and right from another card, not diagonally?
Choose a start player at random? How refreshing to have that as an official rule. Instabuy!
When I demo this in person, I say "the start player is the last one to have visited Earth"

I do wonder about gameplay. It all seems a bit bland to me.
You say only one player gets the 7 point bonus for finishing their tableau first, but if multiple finish on the same turn I don't get your explanation for who gets the bonus.
Apologies if it wasn't clear. If multiple people finish their tableau first, it goes from active player and then clockwise to see who gets the bonus. Is that clearer?
