There are no ways to verify a neural net is safe. It’s basically a black box. Today’s best practice is : run simulations and validate in real life. That means regulators do not have a checklist to approve FSD before allowing it on the road. They will look at the data collected so far, allow operation and demand constant monitoring in terms of accidents/incidents. From my perspective, that’s exactly what Tesla is preparing for.
Don't hold your breath! At the rate Tesla stock is going, it will be at least 10 years before your 10 stocks will buy a Model 3 -- if you're lucky. That is a great dream though.

This is not good news and I completely disagree with you that elan can generate just as many sales from his own personal tweets .. there's a lot of people that don't use Twitter/x whatsoever. I'm one of them.. since Elon only posts on x his posts cannot reach nearly as many people as a standard advertising campaign would that would be encompassing all of the major social media platforms instead of just X... Just because you use ex doesn't mean everybody else does. There's a large amount of people that don't use it at all and find it extremely difficult use and therefore won't ever use it. However I do agree that the minimal amount of ads that I have seen are very generic and wouldn't be very convincing to buy a product from those advertisements so I do agree with firing them however they should use the money that they're saving from firing their advertising team to just hiring an actual advertising company
Elon should prioritize enhancing the vehicles. As a proud Tesla owner, I'm disappointed that my car, with over 104,000 miles, creaks, rattles, and falls short of the luxury experience I expect. Tesla is a car company first and foremost, not an AI or robotics company. Until they generate substantial revenue from these other ventures, they should concentrate on delivering high-quality vehicles that meet the luxury standards their customers expect.

I think Elon is simply getting bored with the physical process of producing cars and the expectations that go with it. He likes innovation, but the day to day details of building plants to build certain number of cars no longer motivating to him. He's done it knows he can do it so it's not important to him anymore. FSD and robo taxis is invigorating to him but lacks share holder reward in any near term 2 yr timeframe. Robots and AI are cool but again yrs away from driving stock valuation. So he doesn't care if stock is flat another decade as he thrives on the next thing while families portfolios planning for retirement are not on his list of priorities.

The waste in this case is the advertising output from these people were lame and inaffective. Without him, nothing innovative will be done because most management will talk themselves out of doing the right thing or take the right risk.
History has shown that regulations tend to follow abuses and disasters. Nearly all regulations are earned. FSD unsupervised, if found responsible for some potential horrific accident(s), would find overwhelming public calls for tighter regulations or Tesla loses too much in high profile manslaughter lawsuits. I would suggest that Tesla gets in front by establishing regulations with the FEDs that shelters them from lawsuits by proving statistical evidence that their tech cannot be perfect but far better than human driver stats.
A too early release would be very expensive both from a $ standpoint but a PR as well. Should be avoided at all costs. Sell FSD and Insurance as a package. Accidents with FSD will generally be cut and dried as the car records everything. When the car is at fault Tesla has a very good record of how it happened and will fix it. There will be exceptions. But unlike humans a single FSD accident can be used as the basis for improving the entire fleet. When FSD is real we need V2V to stop cars from T-boning each other.

I’m not so worried about short term bad quarters or the stock going down in the short term as I am happy to buy the dips. I am just disappointed and concerned about how some investors are looking to vote “No” to Elon getting his deserved compensation package as they think Tesla will be better without Elon. If vote is “No” then That’s a sure way for Elon to take it as the majority don’t want him at Tesla and he may leave which will just destroy the stock and the future of Tesla.

Their fear is a solar roof with batteries charging an EV and making grid expansion unnecessary. Their nightmare is when this is the norm. Electricity is now generated by +40% natural gas in the US and growing. The busted pipe lines in eastern Europe has increased the value of natural gas considerably and the US is happy to sell it. None of the corporation currently raking in the money want this to stop. Something like 25% of for profit utilities are lobbying to ensure their nightmare does not happen.

To get MY vote, Tesla must accomplish at least ONE of the following prior to the June 13 meeting: 1) Televise a national, well-produced ad that promotes EV advantages, in general, and Tesla advantages, specifically; 2) Announce that the Model 2 is back on schedule for deliveries in 2025; 3) Restore TSLA to at least $250/share. Otherwise, I think polarizing, part-time, futuristic Elon Musk should be thanked for his contribution, included in the wartime force reductio, and we’ll not mention the $700 BILLION of lost market cap in his final three years.

I’m not so worried about short term bad quarters or the stock going down in the short term as I am happy to buy the dips.
I am just disappointed and concerned about how some investors are looking to vote “No” to Elon getting his deserved compensation package as they think Tesla will be better without Elon. If vote is “No” then That’s a sure way for Elon to take it as the majority don’t want him at Tesla and he may leave which will just destroy the stock and the future of Tesla.

@@reginald7214 It only seems that way. The corporations fighting EVs and Solar especially Testa will not stop if Elon exits Tesla. Their fear is a solar roof with batteries charging an EV and making grid expansion unnecessary. Their nightmare is when this is the norm. Electricity is now generated by +40% natural gas in the US and growing. The busted pipe lines in eastern Europe has increased the value of natural gas considerably and the US is happy to sell it. None of the corporation currently raking in the money want this to stop. Something like 25% of for profit utilities are lobbying to ensure their nightmare does not happen.
I suggest buying the new tesla innovation shares at this point as they are relatively cheap and are sure to yield long-term profits

The Florida law is just a placeholder. It answers none of the regulatory questions FSD raises. Police interactions? Liability? Restrictions?
Florida still has regulators. Regulations still have not been written.
You should look at the Florida law as a resolution, not serious lesgislation. They are signaling a principle - the state wants to permit autonomous operation. Actually permitting it will require more work in the legislature and from regulators.
Note: political opponents did not oppose this abstract law. When specifics come up and it gets serious, they will emerge from the woodwork. A *lot* of people will be disadvantaged, especially when robotaxies are considered.

To get MY vote, Tesla must accomplish at least ONE of the following prior to the June 13 meeting:
1) Televise a national, well-produced ad that promotes EV advantages, in general, and Tesla advantages, specifically;
2) Announce that the Model 2 is back on schedule for deliveries in 2025;
3) Restore TSLA to at least $250/share.
Otherwise, I think polarizing, part-time, futuristic Elon Musk should be thanked for his contribution, included in the wartime force reductio, and we’ll not mention the $700 BILLION of lost market cap in his final three years.
