  • We recently had the opportunity to feature Bill Rodencal on My Garage. As the Collections Lead at Harley-Davidson, he offered to show us a few of his favorite things inside the museum while we were there.
We knew getting a private tour from Bill himself was a rare experience, so we asked if we could bring a camera along to share the stories and artifacts we learned about in this historical place.
You'll learn that not only does the Harley-Davidson Museum house some incredible motorcycles and artifacts, but you'll also be impressed by the sheer amount of knowledge Bill has when it comes to the Motor Company's 120-year history.

Man, so cool to see how Harley preserved all of these bikes. I moved to the USA from South America in 1987 at when I was 12. I immediately fell in love with skateboarding and Harley's. I finally got my fist Harley at age 46. While there are aspects of the Harley culture that I dislike -the guys revving their engines for no reason with their half helmets- I do really love the brand and history. Harley and Gibson are what I think of as American culture.

Went there last year. I could have spent a couple days there. Loved all of it!!
    A Mecca for H-Dogs.
    Thanks for posting this.
Edit: The 1903 "Serial Number One" is the deal. My uncle Kerwin straddled that girl in a barn in OK before it was ensconced in the shrine.
    Ride on HD, ride on!

They didn't show the reported most popular exhibit, the bike from Japan in the shipping container that washed up on the west coast.

Sad that most newer riders don't care about any of this.
