      That's an understatement!
Most of them are burnt out and poorly educated and just don't care!

Ask every homeless "What can you do to improve your situation?" There must be something a person can do to improve their situation, after all, it is their responsibility.

It's a sad testimonial that so many homeless in so many places rely on the mercy of the public, with no other recourse. Some enterprising politician could champion the cause of the people and lead the country out of this scourge of homelessness!

From my understanding on some of these shelters now some of them are unsafe of course they are rules that they don't like to follow no alcohol no drugs etc etc it's a two-way street but I've heard a lot of stories about shelters just very negative! So who do you believe ?

    • @avagambina3830

Believe the ppl who've been there like me. Honestly there are more drugs happening in shelters than anywhere else ive seen but the workers dont care. PEOPLE DONT CARE ...at least the majority.. Grateful i made it out but it was scary at times

      Yes, don't listen to hearsay!
Believe ppl who have spent time sleeping on cots or the hard concrete floor w/ a pillow and a blanket after they run out of beds.

No the whole world is not mentally ill. There are people who are dangerous.
They don't want to take their medicine they don't want to get off their drugs.
If the homeless were just homeless and they weren't drug addicts in mental cases. I think it would be uneasier to help them.
They have to want to be helped. I had friends who were homeless how did they get out of it
They kept their mental issues in check they stayed away from drugs and alcohol.

Lol, that man ain't interested in nothing but being free of any ties or responsibilies. He just wants the workers to give him donations. At least 1 dozen people ask me for money daily. I've worked since I was 13, I struggle to pay high NYC rent. Why does everyone have to give them money. It's annoying! We pay very high taxes. They should get the services that tax payers pay for instead of harrassing us day and night. We don't want to go to work, pay our bills nor have responsibility, but that is the way it works. He's a lazy bones.

It's not that simple. Most ppl on streets have mental illness eg depression substance abuse.ptsd traumas. It's easy to judge if you've never been there or known a person who has gone through this.

@@avagambina3830 did you hear this young man just refuse every single avenue of sevices both real and imagined? Yes, there are a ton of seriously mentally ill and drug abusers on the streets especially during the later pandemic (they were housed in hotels). People who had it together and fall on hard times are so different than these types - they should be invested in to get back on their feet. We are only human.

@@avagambina3830 I know about the mentally ill - I work with them. Able bodied people should be helped to get back on their feet. Severely mentally ill and substance abusers need services. Obviously there is no simple solution. I've never seen so many severely mentally ill people on the streets and small percentage can be violent. It's scary on these streets!

No other way to live for these people sometimes, jobs don't pay enough assuming you can get one while being homeless, Shelters are almost more dangerous then the streets, its very sad to see how society and their agenda's and poor choices end up crushing these people with real tangible potential and then frown upon them for simply the position they're in
