I loved it all. The blank music books, the handmade paper book, and those foiled diecuts. Those fibers would make beautiful boho beads. I loved the calenders as well. Great haul.
Nice haul. Coming from an art teacher, I wanted to give you some vocabulary you were looking for. The rough edges on the handmade paper is called deckle edge. They also make deckle edge rulers that you can use to tear papers and make the edge. Art Nouveau is both an art style that is full of flourishes and natural elements (flowers, dragonflies, vines, etc) and an era in time, approximately 1890- 1910, it’s pronounced new-vo (rhymes with sew and bow) The yellow yarn that was super fluffy is called chenille. The orange yarn with all the thread bits is called eyelash ribbon. Happy crafting.
Soak the spray bottle top in hot water, and if you have an empty spray bottle that it fits try to spray clean water through it. A lot of those bottles are prone to clogging.
Do you shop at other places besides Austin Creative Reuse in Austin? I have been wanting to buy some reasonably priced old magazines like Look and Life and don't know where to look in Austin. I live in Badtrop. Thanks for any tips. I like going to ACR too. Love the Old Maid Cards.
Nouveau is pronounced new voo, it's french for newly arrived or recently becoming the thing it is now. Not being critical, just informative. I'm a word/language goofball. 🙂
Just joined your channel. I loved your haul, what kind of stores do you shop at? ❤❤❤

I had that Old Maid Game as a child of the 70's. What a cool find! I am new to your channel and I have really enjoyed watching.
Those gold foil die cuts are awesome!
Love everything in your haul. The old maid is from the 70. My sister that I recently lost we use to play with that same deck. Thanks for the memories
