I remember they told us one time when they first debuted, only 5 people came to their first music show (and all of them are their families and friends). So i'm really proud of their hardwork to get what they are now. Also the fandom, once you get in the people are awesome. We praised them if they did good, but we also remind them if they did wrong. And you asked what is Immortal Songs (IS). Basically, IS is a tv show where they invite current generation artists to sing songs of the older generations but put it in their own rendition. It is like giving a fresh new breath or air to the old songs. And in every episode, they pick one particular artist and these new artists has to pick a song and sing it in front of them. At the end of an artist's episode, they'll have a winner that wins by having the highest vote - and voting is made by the audience. (fun fact : I'm not sure as of now because I rarely follow the show but (I think) MAMAMOO is (still) the only idol group that has ever won in this show, the rest are all solo artists or artists that's not branded under the name "Kpop idols". Immortal Songs is basically when modern singers cover old classic songs with a new twist, and the audience will vote who they like most. In this show, only the real singers get to participate, those that can actually sing, because it's forbidden to lipsync there.
Songs to prioritize: They frequently call back to their first songs, "Mr. Ambiguous" and "Piano Man" so watching those first will help you catch the references. Get to "Um Oh Ah Yeah", "Woo Hoo", "Pepperminst Chocolate", and "New York". Well, gosh, that's most of their MV's right there. Shuffle "Ahh Oop" to the bottom of the list. When you watch "You're the Best" ( is in Korean), there are three different versions of the MV, I like the "0.5x2" version, which is the dance/choreo focus.
There are many more Immortal Songs performances by them that are phenomenal. Watch Backwoods or Story of a Girl (something like that). Also, there have been full episodes dedicated to english songs. I recommend that you watch Immortal Songs 2 full episodes. They are quite entertaining. They have eng subs. You can watch Michael Bolton episode or Pop songs episode.

And you asked what is Immortal Songs (IS). Basically, IS is a tv show where they invite current generation artists to sing songs of the older generations but put it in their own rendition. It is like giving a fresh new breath or air to the old songs. And in every episode, they pick one particular artist and these new artists has to pick a song and sing it in front of them. At the end of an artist's episode, they'll have a winner that wins by having the highest vote - and voting is made by the audience. (fun fact : I'm not sure as of now because I rarely follow the show but (I think) MAMAMOO is (still) the only idol group that has ever won in this show, the rest are all solo artists or artists that's not branded under the name "Kpop idols". And they have won 2 eps so far) 💖

when you react to MaMaMoo videos from Immortal Songs it is best to get the original KBS performances as independent sources alter the video as in this one it is zoomed in so you don't get the full effect of the performance ... it's a simple search in TH-cam ie: MaMaMoo Backwoods Immortal Songs 2 ... KBS subs their IS2 show so most all have eng subs just click the captions also for IS2 the show is about today's artists reintrepeting legendary singers composers and songwriters songs (mostly Korean and sometimes Western artists) with a modern twist ... the older gentleman you see made the song famous in Korea years ago but it is actually a Western Song that was a chart topper from the 1960s made famous by Tom Jones.

The guy you don't like was the original (Korean) performer. That's the conceit of the show, covering it with the original performer there, voted on by the audience (because almost everything in Korea is or is made into a competition).

Immortal Songs is basically when modern singers cover old classic songs with a new twist, and the audience will vote who they like most.
In this show, only the real singers get to participate, those that can actually sing, because it's forbidden to lipsync there.
Songs to prioritize: They frequently call back to their first songs, "Mr. Ambiguous" and "Piano Man" so watching those first will help you catch the references. Get to "Um Oh Ah Yeah", "Woo Hoo", "Pepperminst Chocolate", and "New York". Well, gosh, that's most of their MV's right there. Shuffle "Ahh Oop" to the bottom of the list. When you watch "You're the Best" ( is in Korean), there are three different versions of the MV, I like the "0.5x2" version, which is the dance/choreo focus.
There are many more Immortal Songs performances by them that are phenomenal. Watch Backwoods or Story of a Girl (something like that). Also, there have been full episodes dedicated to english songs. I recommend that you watch Immortal Songs 2 full episodes. They are quite entertaining. They have eng subs. You can watch Michael Bolton episode or Pop songs episode.
