- Hey there, my name is Rey and welcome to my channel!😄 This room tour includes a band D room, bathroom (en suite) and communal kitchen space, with a few discoveries along the way 😉
So happy with my room for my first year at the University of Surrey 🥰
Manor Park has great rooms and I'm very glad I went for a Band D room!

Thanks! Usually, induction week for new students (freshers) starts on the 21st and then uni begins the week after. You can choose to move in the weekend before freshers or at an earlier/later date. Heres a link to the key dates you need to know: www.surrey.ac.uk/about/facts/key-dates

In mine it was 6 of us total, some have more some have less, it really depends and you don't have a lot of say!

Hi! Unfortunately I can't speak for international students but each band has different features that effect the price! The cheapest is shared and the most expensive is a studio apartment. Here is a link showing all the different band rooms. Hope this was helpful!

Hi, what is the situation with cleaning and drying clothes?
So, there's a cleaner that does the communal areas once a week, they take the bins out every morning and there are dryers with the washing machines!
I heard that toilet paper is refilled by staff but is tht for shared bathrooms or for rooms that have individual bathrooms as well?
I think that's shared only
I believe this is only for communal/shared toilets, would highly recommend buying in bulk from amazon, saves a lot of time and saves you from carrying it back from the shops!
Do all James black rooms and flats look like this ?
No so, it definitely depends on the band of room you have (This one is Band D). Also, they may be slightly different in size and layout!

For band D yes! But there is plenty of space, 2 cupboards each plus communal space

lovely space just don't like the fact that its plain. not the room buh the common space.
I agree! The great thing is, if your lucky enough to get amazing flatmates as I did, you can decorate your common space based on holidays all throughout the year! Our Halloween ones were especially well received by other students 🏆😄
How much you pay for it
Band D rooms can range between £150-£162 per week
