Just have to say this: I had goosebumps the moment that folk music was played. It's so rarely heard these days and i am surprised and glad to hear it in one of your vlogs. So cool!

When you started to manipulate the guitar and create music, it reminds me of my Lolo (grandpa) the tempo, and how you strum it, pluckings. It feels nostalgic. It does sounded the same as him. He wokes up at 5 AM to meditate and sang old worship songs. (Visaya) Sometime just do freestyles.
Always admire your guitar skills George. Hope you have Jam session again with Mike. More power to you and Lucy ❤

This is a treat! I will have to take my husband and son there (both play guitar). Rosewood is definitely expensive. My daughter plays piccolo and I had gotten her a rosewood one. That place is where I bought my daughter a guitar back in 2009 hoping she will learn how to play it, they claimed it was made out of the best local wood, I forgot the name of it, that was 10 yrs ago, the guitar is still in it's hard case collecting dust in the spare bedroom, almost a waste of my $550...On another note, that guy playing the banduria is really good, love the classic Filipino music. Can't wait to see George get his own Alegre guitar.

it shows that Cebuanos are musical that's why they have great singers...guitar making is a long tradition of these people... in the olden days they used nangka (jackfruit) wood as the sound box of the guitar for excellent result....but when exported it will not stand in the cold weather in other countries....it will break ...so that now they are using imported woods ...

I enjoyed this video as someone who loves musical instruments. It's just that I am a frustrated guitarist. Allegre is a good brand. Cebu guitars are handcrafted that is why they are expensive but man, good quality one. That song they played is the music from a Filipino folk dance called Tinikling. Very good in playing the double bass, George. It is very easy to play it rather than other of its family (violin, viola and cello) and easy to follow like you are playing a bass guitar.
