hi, glad I found your video. I have a Juki 8100e industrial machine and received a binder attachment today which I had ordered via Amazon. Unfortunately, that particular binder involved changing the plate over and the teeth and to cut a long story short, it was far too much hassle for the amount I would use it. Ironically, I reordered a different attachment that is basically the same as the one you use in this video and this looks a hell of a lot less trouble to fit lol.
I have a commercial machine that recently got sewing. It came with binding attachment but no foot to match. Are the Foot plates and attachment company specific or can I find and use a different foot? Thanks for your quick video.
I just received the 1 inch Binder attachment. Did I need to have the Teflon foot also in order for it to work. I have a teflon foot but it is not as wide as yours. Please respond. I'd like to order the other sizes if it works well on my machine.
Excellent a Nd PERFECT ..... BUT...!!!!....... I need / want a metal foot just like that but I want it to put binding on baby and throw quilts with just regular batting not lofty batting I do not like the look of sew on the binding and flipping it over the front I want top and back all stitched at the same time. I keep seeing the plastic binder thing but I want to bind simple quilts. And be able to do the sharp muttered corners Thank you... Every time I see those industrial sewing machines I think of the two my grandma had... and then I wonder what happened to them and then wish I had one. I loved the knee lift. Sadly she died when I was 17. But blessed my mom taught me to sew.
Do you have a binder ribbon recommendation for curved assemblies? I’m looking for keywords to search for binder ribbon that does especially well with following round edges. Thanks!
@@dreamhammock ok thanks... no one seems to know and they are on every machine.... Ive compared them and theyre not 6-32 4-40 or even metric.... I do have 2 from parts i got on an old singer 348 that didnt work and those turned out to be metric... seems ive gone down some sort of rabbit hole i swear
I'm not sure if this can fit on my quantum singer 9960.its different sitting. I order a industrial presser foot like half and zipper foot I can't use . I can't even move the needle bar so it will fit in.
I don't think this will fit your machine. You would need the 2 mounting holes to the right of the needle in the machine bed. You can see the mounting screws at the 1:48 mark of this video.
yeah great machines .. they are very similar. so buttery smooth, silent and stupid fast. I just outfitted mine with a G-series Ho Hsing motor w/syncro. G40 i think. It is slick. Indexer works awesome. Programable for speed, ramp up time, needle up/down etc. there is no shrill frequency noise from the motor as found with some of the other brushless motor controllers. its dead quiet. liked it so much i bought a second one for my china tacsew walking foot.
+MommaKnowsBestest Check to see if your machine has the two mounting holes to the right of the needles. If so, you should be all set for using these attachments.
+MommaKnowsBestest Yes, I believe the holes are pretty standard amoung many machines and most attachments are made to fit them. The mounting of the attachment can be seen starting at about 1:48.
+MommaKnowsBestest I think most of mine came from this place and they've been pretty great to order from. www.cutexsewingsupplies.com/attachments-folders/binding-attachments/single-needle-binders/sewing-machine-raw-edge-plain-tape-binder-binding-attachment

You can really use any foot that fits your particular machine. I would suggest going with a wider foot to get the best results.
@@dreamhammock Thank you for your suggestions.
Could you please instruct me regarding drybag , I meant that the bags with seam sealing tape and welding film pressing , how is it process . thanks

You can give it a try with some of the wider feet you have and see how it works for you.

Nice enough video. Went to tour website but unfortunately it appears you do not sell these.
No, we just use them in our business and wanted to share with folks.
@@dreamhammock can you give me the info to order. There are a bunch of designs available and I'd hate to buy six different ones to get a good one
@@stevenhatfield1961 These were purchased online a number of years ago. I'm afraid I don't have the order info.
can this be used on a curve ? Any tips ? I tried and failed
Only long sweeping curves. Probably best to do those by hand.

I'm not aware of one that will do very well on curves. Sorry
Where can we buy this
hey thanks for sharing...would you happen to know what size the thumb screws are?
Sorry, I'm not sure what size screw.

do i need to set my machine everytime i use this binder or simply remove this and use it as regular stitch?
You shouldn't need to change the stitch settings with this attachment.
How to order that foot and binder?
will it work for non wovens?
Just wondering if you can use this attachment for gold over elastic bias tape?
Maybe. I'd give it a try and let us know how it works for you.
What kind of binder would you use with a vinyl "leather looking" binding tape?
Thank you
