Here are 14 other cool things you might not know in Super Mario Bros. Wonder!
In a few spots it is possible to soft-lock, some advanced uses of the Badges, a special tech to perform a "super wall-jump"... and more!
If you missed them, here's the first two episodes :)
Part 1: • 15 Cool Details in Sup...
Part 2: • 16 Other Cool Details ...
And here's the latest episode!
Part 4: • 10 Cool Things you mig... - เกม
Bubbles resetting Safety Bounce is crazy
Yeah, i find that badge underrated since you can do a skip in auto scrollers and it works in lava too
I feel like that safety bounce reset will get patched out at some point.
Bubbles actually reset any badge, including the midair twirl badge
Kind of busted
@@phoenixandyAs well as stomping on enemies, or anything else you can stomp on.
*WE FOUND TECH*
That section showcasing the super wall-jump tech was so freaking cool, holy crap
I hope we see more stuff like that in speedruns
You can change direction with Jet Run without a projectile! Just hold crouch then the other direction and you'll turn around immediately. If you're using a joystick its easy to roll the stick to the opposite direction (it's a half circle motion). As an added bonus if you combine it with what you showed here you can make the character do a funny backwards slide that makes me think of a moonwalk. Only tried it with bubble flower tho.
The ending 😂
Your videos are WAAAAAAYYYYYY better than dr.wily's ones, you don't talk about the very very obvious things everyone knows about and claim it's "myths", and I didn't know half of those things even if I look at everyone's secrets videos about wonder
Good job, also I really like these little secrets videos
Man, that poor hippo will never be the same...
Seriously, that outro was animal abuse lmao
I mean Luigi suffered the same way in Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga to get infinite coins

You can hold L+R to become a ghost, getting you unstuck. If you're playing offline and solo it won't really help though
that first one definitely isn't a softlock since you can very easily die to get out of it, and the other two depend on how restarting the level interacts with checkpoints.
A softlock just means you entered a state in which further progress is prevented. Dying ends the softlock by allowing you to continue, but that's still a softlock nevertheless. A hardlock is a softlock where further progress is permanently impossible without turning off the game or worse
@@Whispernyana softlock very specifically means unintended behavior or a glitch preventing progress. there's nothing unintended about the hoppo example.
if this was a different, crueller platformer you wouldn't call every instance where you're forced to die a softlock.
@@diyromania You can't just say something "Very specifically" means something. That is not the case here, softlocks typically involve unintended behavior or a glitch, it doesn't very specifically relate to such interactions.
If I'm playing a Mario Maker level, and I open a door and it drops me into box I can't escape from without dying, that's a softlock. They intended for me to be there, they intended for me to not be able to escape, doesn't make it not a softlock.
that's just called losing the game, dude. progressing to death is still progress.
@@diyromania Well now you're just not making sense, progressing to death is physically not still progress. Death resets the level, you didn't make progress you lost progress and are now back in a state where you can attempt to actually make progress again.
I can understand that it's a weird concept to talk about in relation to a platformer but there's no other genre of gaming where you would enter a state where the only way to continue is to die and you would say "That's just called losing the game"
Hope there’s a DLC making use of the infinite height by the spin-boost and bubble as well as the suoer wall-jump.
Speedruns boutta go crazy with #5
bubble power is officially my favorite power in all mario games
I'm honestly very happy that I found out about #14 without any help whatsoever. A very fun gimmick.
3:59 👀
I have been avoiding using stamps in normal levels, i have been enjoying the game as it is, and seeing this stamp tech makes me happy, two of my favorite stamps are the most broken and i'm already thinking on were to use them.
2:09 you can also do it with jet run, but its kinda tricky...
#1 works with swinging the elephant trunk as well
Another thing to note about the turning with jet run is that you also instantly turn when crouched
Can Elephant Mario break crystal blocks in fewer hits?
That's what I WONDERed too! 😂
Hi guys :D
Elephant Mario breaks the jewel and ice blocks in two hits, just like Mario in his super form :)
@@LooygiBros I wish Elephant Mario broke those in just 1 hit, it would make more sense.
Another cool detail is how the stage music will be muffled when you're in drill form and burrowing.
i thought i wasn't the only one who noticed
5:00 reminds me of in NSMBWII in Ghost houses, your character will tilt their head at boos when facing left or right towards them.
That Hoppo at the end is just getting assaulted
2:00 I feel so stupid now. I spent that much time doing that special level… when I could have just done that
THERE'S A BLACK SEED??!!!
1) You can jump and turn is work too :)
The outro reminds me of the Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga infinite coin trick
idk if this is really cool, but it's really useless. If you have the jet run badge, you can go up walls by spin jumping off them and going on again and so on.
Getting soft locked is so cooool (Sarcasm)
This game is buttery smooth
Nice :D
THE ENDING THO-
Koopas finally learned how to breathe underwater
Just wondering is it possible for Mario to reach the L shaped pipe behind the first exit of 1-2 by sneaking up and over before reaching the second exit? Thanks a lot!!😅
me too
Mario can now finally do a one sided wall jump, like Rayman.
Ive had the hoppo thing happen 😂😂 i was running through as an elephant and jumped on it then ended up in the middle of th3 pipes and then got brutally down smashed by that like a ganon blaze kick in super smash bros
The Bubble Flower is so broken! 😆
So this confirms that dash dancing is possible!
This game feels like nintendo actually put all their effort into doing it
Fr tho I can't imagine how much they must have worked on this
I just wish they made it a little tougher. It was way too easy. Even the “hardest” special levels I died only a few times.
@@seanmcbay Yeah, you got a point there
If u move the left stick left and right very fast, it will look like ur wavedashing
fun fact that everybody know 2 to 4 player can help fix the soft locks
Wdym by digital and analogous controls?
look closely at the examples and youll probably be able to figure this out better than i can explain it to you
digital and analogous controls are about the control stick in this case
digital controls mostly only take into account basic directions, left, right, up, down.
analogous controls take into account everything, exactly where you tilted the stick
Digital is basically a button. Pressed, or not pressed
Analogue is a range, so 0 to 100.
Basically, what he meant is that most things don't take into account a difference in tilt, but some things do, so you can move your head slightly on the map.
If that was digital, you'd only be able to look directly left, or directly right.
@@Valcuda thanks for explaining it better lol, I'm not very good at explaining stuff
The outro tho 💀
4:20 can you enter the pipe?
did he just look at the invisible block? 4:47
If only these videos of Super Mario Bros. Wonder like this one were up a month sooner. Maybe Super Mario Bros. Wonder might have actually won Best Art Direction. Probably not though. The game probably still would have lost anyways since the majority of people who vote on the Game Awards site understand nothing of art!
Seriously! Every time I see videos like this every year, it's always so honestly sad and depressing how nobody takes Nintendo seriously anymore. Especially seeing how them and any co-dev third parties they work with for some games truly have put a lot of love, attention to detail, and effort into these amazing works of art! Best does that design ever earn them a Best Art Direction or GotY award in the eyes of the majority at all? No! Of course not! Because all people care about now days, when it comes to art, is recreating real life! If it's not a real life simulator that looks 100% like thousands of other games, it's not art! Such a horribly toxic mindset!
There needs to be an awards show for just games that are on Nintendo! Nintendo deserves better than the disrespect that keeps getting thrown at them every year at The Game Awards! There needs to be a Nintendo Awards for those who actually appreciate Nintendo's fine works of art!
Sadly, the game awards have become a mere shell of what it used to be, now being overran by the biggest dollar. Honestly (get your tinfoil hat ready), I’m pretty sure Wonder didn’t get the best art direction award solely due to Nintendo doing what they’ve always done, which is not care much of outside opinions- ie: not paying into bigger screen time at TGA.
For real the art direction on this game is wonderful!
😮
Wowie.. 😯
*ZOWIE* !! 😊

😊😄🥳
I'm not sure you know what "soft locked" means...
For the first example, yeah no. Just die. But because this is a 2d mario game, I’d say that the other two are softlocks. The only way out is to restart.
Softlock is when, in a Videogame, you get stuck in an area with no exits other than restarting the game/stage
