    Seeing you play Romeo Delight on the exact guitar it was recorded on was incredible!! Thank you for all of this. Love living vicariously through this. I’ve done my own VH tour of Pasadena but nothing like this!!

    WOW!! I lived on Sierra Bonita when the SAGA built!!! Across the street was an original car hop Big Boys restaurant! I went to Marshal Jr High and PHS with Ed and lived at their house on Las Lunas when the boys moved the parents to Kinneloa Mesa above Pasadena.

    Very cool series of videos..... BTW, that 70's Ibby being played at the end completely nails EVH's sound.

    Jeff the Saga looks like an hourly - probably still cost $300 a night!
    Fantastic series - thanks for keeping our hero alive!

    Strange to hear early VH songs played in standard tuning, but man, what a cool tour!

    I used to live in Pasadena where I met my wife at a Bible study (going strong 38 years later!). She lived a few blocks over from the house the Van Halens used to live in on a parallel street. (They lived on a street named Las Lunas; I know the house.) I also went to PCC and had a Music Appreciation professor who had the Van Halen brothers as students a few years earlier. (He actually showed us his gradebook with their names in it -- haha!) As he shared with the class he still sometimes went over to to their place and jammed with them. My brother-in-law roadied some for Van Halen and also knew Michael Anthony's younger brother Dennis, who had his own band called Cats and Dogs. That's how I learned Michael's real last name was Sobolewski! I could tell a couple more stories, but this comment is already pretty long.

      Yep I know about Cats and Dogs and Dr. Fisher at PCC! You reminded me to get back in touch with his Daughter! She’s supposed to be in soon! She went to Las Lunas with her Dad!

    More detail on that red ibanez and the cabs please.

    • @FinalResonanceTV
      @FinalResonanceTV  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It was Chris Holmes of Wasp’s! They say it was the first Destroyer in Pasadena, maybe LA. The Cab was a 78 Tour Cab. It has the Van Halen old school logo and “shit” written in Ed’s handwriting on the back. Next time I’m there I’ll get good video of it.

      There were only 2 Ibanez Destroyers in the shop and Chris Holmes told me personally when he was at one of our shows backstage in the 80’s that Ed bought the first one and Chris said he went down and got the last one because he was afraid that Ed was going to go but the other one before he had a chance to snag it, so Chris bought it with a sense of urgency
