This is my take because I bought one. I don’t know much about pc and wanted somthing for casual gaming. When I bought I saw a lot about these acemagic mini pcs and malware and info stealing so I did my own research to see if I needed to return it.The malware will say it’s gone. I did all scan options (quick to full and the one that restarts the pc)and it was clean of any malware on my end. I still reinstalled windows (11) just incase. A little back info on the malware Ace did not know about the third party implementing malware and once noticed They immediately terminated them (I mean I would of too) even ace were willing to refund anyone who had proof that the pcs, laptop, etc. had malware or any signs. They did take action immediately when the malware and other stuff were being found. Over all it works.
Is it easy to reinstall windows as not sure if I should reformat then reinstall windows I don’t know much about windows as I’m a Mac user but I brought one so I can most window games from my steam library
Me liking the new colour theme/grading of this video😊 Either that or my phone's screen has finally gone wonky... Anyways, I like what I see... Valuable content as always, sir
For most tech, I say plan a budget first and then buy as much machine as you can for that budget. Looking at the performance of different systems is kinda silly, as your described needs could be handled by a REALLY low level PC. Don't try and FIND that system first, set a budget first.
@@SomeGadgetGuy ….and to clarify, I only placed my statement on your video because I see you as a trusted TH-camr. Half way into the video I knew that this device was too much for what I’m looking for.
it;s a 5-pole/3-throw switch in the shape & physical movement of a turning knob. It changes between Silent, Auto, & Performance for the Fan Curve. The LED's behind the knob change color depending on which setting is chosen.
hi I’m new to pcs and this is something I was considering purchasing, but then I heard about the viruses from last year/months ago. Is this pc still unsafe to use? Is there anything I can do to prevent getting my data stolen?
Seen a vid the other day of an AM mini PC with the new Core Ultra in it & this unit was created almost 3 months (windows install date etc verify this) & it still had viruses & stuff on it too. I commented on this before but in the case of the one I worked on for a client, the hidden "Recovery" partition had 3 Trojans in it designed to re-infect the pc after a re-install, in addition to the other issues in the main partition.
@@SomeGadgetGuy Kinda weird that you had to install chrome- In all the ones I've seen chrome was installed prior to setting up windows login & both the chrome.exe & updater were infected, Win defender was disabled, this one had McAfee installed but the 15 day trial was already expired on logon, & they tried to marked the "Mighty" as a AAA Gaming machine, which conned a guy I know into getting one, though most of the description differs from what he received, including in the internal packaging.
So if it has male wear so would it be recommend if I reinstall windows as soon as I unbox it as I’ve just brought one so I’m just questioning if I should do a formate and reinstall to make a clean slate
Iv not long brought this pc so far iv had zero problems with it there’s no male ware on the pc iv checked it runs really well and plays gta5 and red redemption 2 pretty well im very amazed how it handles for a mini gaming pc well worth the price considering i brought it for £350.00 pound regional price was £499.00 pound so it’s pretty powerful for what it is
Having a GMKtec K6 with a Ryzen 7 7840HS, that was under $550, it's hard to recommend this one from me. I am however increasingly more excited for the mini PC scene with Qualcomm jumping in the scene.
I agree. Let alone the fact that you have to go through the trouble of installing a fresh OS and erasing the security partition. Way too much trouble for most people.
I got a ACEMAGIC S1 and was going through for a jellyfin setup and then all these videos starting popping for the malware :(. So I wipe and installed a clean OS. Updated the router firm ware and such. ITs a great machine but this put a bad taste in my mouth for ACEMAGIC machines now.
Few years ago we were saying the oposite, don't buy AMD they are consuming more power and are much more hot! And now the AMD is much more efficient and have better processors, how life change...
That's what should happen when we acknowledge good competition. When we just focus on the most popular segments of a market (because that's what pays better on TH-cam) then consumers get hurt. If Intel had faced harsher criticisms earlier, they might not be in the mess they are today.

I would love a mini pc which all I need is web browsing, office tools and media consumption. Haven't found a video yet that helps me find a fit.

That pc looks cool. That looks like a camera on the top.

I stopped at Thunderbolt 🙄 Any suggestions on something like this that would handle it

Yup. If it's in the OS at launch, it's probably going to be in the recovery partitions. Gotta nuke the whole drive from orbit. Only way to be sure.

It's a good security hygienic practice yes

That 7735HS blew me away. A core i9 is a tough sell for me here too.
Perhaps I am over-reacting, yet I could not bring myself to buy any device from a company that ship products with malware, deliberate or not

It doesn’t have maleware iv got the pc my self there’s no male ware on the device
This would be the killer media server with that built in quick sync
Oh yeah. HUGE performance upgrade, and the iGPU would be a perfect fit for that.
Can I run god of war or mk1 in it
Would this be better or worse than a iMac for gaming?
I wonder if this setup would be good for something like protools with many plug-ins?
I bet it would be. It's HUGELY more powerful than my last dedicated audio rig was.

It hit a LOT of us. I'd had good experiences before too.
Just important to use this as an opportunity to tell folks about better security practices.

Bro, you are wild for reviewing this thing even though the company purposefully installed malware on that PC.
It's still available to be sold. What are people going to find if they search for it?
Offtopic: please hurry up and test xiaomi 14 ultra's cause I'm dying with the lack of quality content on it's camera :)
