    YES! I've been praying so much for this not to be catastrophic and glad it has been downgraded so quickly. This is such a relief I hope all families are well in the state of FL. God bless all of you

    In Sarasota it’s been 14 hours of non stop howling and bashing and gusting so much water! Thankful we still have a roof and no car damage so far but, honestly can’t take anymore. It’s exhausting…

    We live inland in Florida; so no flooding. We did lose power, but it will be ok in the end. God Bless Florida residents also affected by the Hurricane.

      I went through Ida and it was slow too. It'll calm down soon. Be prepared to head to a bathroom if tornadoes happen to pop up..

    Here in Riverview; still have power, and only lost three sections of my fence (so far), but we thought it was going to be a lot worse. No trees down in the neighborhood, so far, so good, and no flooding. But, damn, that wind is something!

      @@abryant8287 My wife told me on her Nextdoor app that some folks in Riverview were saying they lost power. I'm in the SE corner of 301 and Big Bend road. Wife says it might be because we have a firehouse and hospital on either side of us, but those places have their own generators.

      @@abryant8287 compared to port Charlotte. Yes Tampa is blessed. How many direct paths we avoided in the past already. Michael completely avoided us and went straight to panama. Port Charlotte and all down there got the direct hit. But Tampa just gets side swiped. Shoot irma was worse than this one for tampa honestly.

    I'm in Lakeland FL and we been getting pounded with relentless rain and heavy wind and hurricane gust for a while now . Thank you My LORD and Savior JESUS CHRIST we still have power where I live in 2 story apartment and I still have satellite which is mind blowing lol because I loose the satellite in a normal summer Storm lol. The street lights flickerd a few times about a hour ago but still holding on, thank you JESUS cause loosing power is my one concern cause food will go bad and no money to buy groceries again. Please continue to pray for us here in Florida. We holding strong and it's going to be okay in Jesus name I pray Amen

    In Charlotte county. Near where the eye made landfall. Trees are out of the ground. Roofs are destroyed. Families flooded in. Homes destroyed. No power. It touched down at 1 pm and it’s 11 pm now, still roaring. There are old folks here who are alone. Send prayers.
    Reach out to family here via cell phone call & tell them what the news is saying if you can. Talking to my brother in NY is the only way I got any solace.

    Here in Marion County it's has been mildly rainy, no strong winds, nothing to worry about it. I went out to do some shopping but everything was close. Hopefully tomorrow it will be back to normal.

      @@usucdik It's past midnight still raining NOT Hard by any means (It started raining around 8:00 AM) But Not windy (it is a CAT 2 by this hour) This is the mildest CAT 4 Hurricane I ever experienced. I went thru Hugo in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷, mid 90s. Here In Florida the 4 Hurricanes of 2004 and everything else follow that. I even experienced a tornado when I used to live in Volusia County. But today this hurricane is a Wimp. I live in Marion County.

      As many of us are aware, "Ian" was a
      geo engineered storm that Holy God did not personally create; rather, God permitted as always, that freedom (that He died to preserve) might also continue even to freely be abused.... until His time of Final Judgment 🙏🏼
      The storm diminished after many prayers and Masses were offered in sacrifice. So yes, I thank Him for mitigating the suffering of many more.
      If you are at war with Holy God, I am sorry and hope you will be freed of such a terrible affliction ❤️
      Floods are not the only terrible harm that come to humans.

    Anyone know anything in Venice/North Port? Venice is my hometown and my mother, brother, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends are no longer able to communicate. The last messages i got was around 8pm and i quote, "it's getting bad" and "shits getting real". These are from Floridians who've never left because of a storm. I think that might change now. I'm desperate for information.

    I’m very concerned about these weather events. Wildfires in the west. Drought in CA and TX. Crazy tornados floods. We need to get a plan for on the changes with the weather. China is having a terrible drought and food insecurity. The U.K. just had a drought I don’t know what the answering are but we need to be talking about long term solutions

    Well let's see as usual our power went out as a transformer blew up across the street, then a tree branch about eight inches in diameter fell through my roof and in the middle of it all my husband claimed into the sun roof and cut it up and got it off the roof then he got a four by four and wedge it in the area of the cave in to lift it back into place and stuffed it with rubber gloves to hold out most of the water , I'm crippled so I was of no help , and now we sit in the dark for god knows how long because teco are slow as molasses and cheap as fudge and we will sit in the dark for weeks as they loly gag along
