Ramesh Babu , you are welcome to live in Charleston WV, but this city is small and the population is only 45000, I have visited this city in Nov 2022, city is calm, quite , safe and beautiful, but there is not much work opertunity.
You can tell when someone doesn’t know how to pronounce “Kanawha” properly its not going to be very good. All the places mentioned can be discovered just by searching Charleston, online. Unfortunately it has suffered from decline and decades of Union Carbide and other industries polluting the place. My Grandfather worked there and died of lung cancer. I was born in Charleston but my family moved to Cleveland to find work when i was very young. I love visits to the state and always considered it “home” but honestly it can be boring and depressing except for the beauty off the beaten path. JMO
I also hate it when people mispronounce Kanawha or Appalachia, but if the creators aren’t from there give them a break. The video was actually well done and useful for people not familiar with the area.
When ANY creator NOT from a place wants to make a video... maybe ask the LOCALS (true local that have lived there for generations) how to pronounce names of places. While to didnt butcher Kanawha as badly as some it more like saying Kun- Aw-uh and in some places you can leave off the UH.
I have lived in and near this city for 37 years. The best advice I can anyone considering moving here is....don't. And if you are already here try to leave ASAP. I hope to retire in the next 2 to 3 years and can't wait to escape. It is a dying city in a dying/declining state.
I have been to Fayetteville, Summersville, and Seneca many times and love those places. I have been trying to decide if it's worth moving to WV, and I was thinking about Charleston. Part of WV's charm is that it feels like a hidden gem for outdoor recreation with an affordable housing market. I understand there aren't a ton of jobs, but I am a nurse and can find work pretty much anywhere. I'm curious what the cons are for Charleston specifically.
If you are so unhappy, move away. If you say you can't afford to move, then clearly it's YOU with the problem, not Charleston. Bored people are boring. See yourself?
@@jdomsmith people are kind and respectful in West Virginia. If someone says they aren't, they have never been anywhere and have personality problems. If you break down on the road, at least one person will stop to help. Don't accept criticism from someone who is basically inwardly unhappy.
@@OnViewCation it's a combination, fentanyl heroin and more fentanyl. The one's it didn't kill yet are walking zombies. Been doing this a long time Southern West Virginia altogether after dark it's just not safe anymore anywhere and the further into Southern West Virginia you go the worse it gets. Alot of those people are in survival mode it's a train wreck and it's disturbing. Alot of them are hungry, their families are hungry and their desperate. Charleston after dark is apocalyptic. My friend you don’t know what that looks like. Take a trip to Philly and get back to me. Not downplaying the opioid epidemic in WV but to say its worse off than anywhere else in the country is just bull. Pro tip, don’t live in a city ANYWHERE full stop
This was a great video, thank you.
Our pleasure! We're glad to know that you love our video. If we may ask, what other types of video would you like to see on Viewcation?
I have had the pleasure of seeing a performance of the West Virginia Symphony at the Clay Center.
We have a 2 nights stay here in June. Thanks for the info. Lynn and Danny
We will be coming to this city from Hyderabad India, to live there.

I just bought 1.5 acres about 10 minutes outside of Charleston. Welcome to America neighbor.
I worked on the 2nd floor of the Capitol, in the Senate. I loved going to The Forrest, a lot! Worked there one summer. I sure miss home!💙💛@❤️

I left there about 33 years ago at that time it was poverty stricken and not a nice place to live.
I literally live here and it makes me so mad to hear someone say it wrong

Kinda hard to take you serious when you can't pronounce the river name correctly.
Yeah, everyone beat me to it but you slaughtered Kanawha. It’s NOT “can-naw-ha”.

It's pronounced Kuh Nah. Not Kah Nuh Wah.
Ka-naw
nOt kan-awha
Actually ka no wa

Thank you. Let's swap, Friend. I gotta leave Sodomfornia...so evil the Creator is fed up.
Best thing you can do in Charleston is leave
The thing is, it is still on the apocalyptic map after WW3.
Best advice about Charleston WV don't come here. Zombie Apocalypse. Huntington is worse.
Why Zombie Apocalypse?
