    Thanks! Have had a De Walt grease gun for a long time, always worked good, couldn’t get it to pump today. I suppose the owners manual tells about the screen,but that is long lost!😁

      Your welcome!!! Glad it helped you out. Ya not sure if it's in the owners manual or not either haha

      I was on the ledge of disliking it till we figured out that screen was plugged. Then when it worked again I was happy haha

    That grease gun sure makes pumping that track up easy.

      @SkidderKev  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You got that right!!! We pumped up the track with a pistol grip a couple of times and that was the end of the manual one haha

    I don't use grease guns but looking at buying one of Milwaukee's fancy dancy caulking guns for all the tile we have to caulk along the edge of the grout. Been watching Tim down in Mississippi showing off his Milwaukee tools and he don't do that unless he really loves something and it works for him.

    • @SkidderKev
      @SkidderKev  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The boss already had dewalt batteries so that's the way we went. I am really like the Milwaukees tho. I have been watching Tim's reviews on them to. I would say go for that power caulking gun!!!

    Thank you I fought with mine for 3 days. Took the screen out and bam works great. Colder days it clogs the screen on hot days it would work normal

      Was your gun making a loud grinding sound when you use it ?

    • @SkidderKev
      @SkidderKev  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No it wouldn't. That doesn't sound good either

    Now you'll have to ad that screen to your monthly maintenance program.

    • @SkidderKev
      @SkidderKev  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ya we do or every 6 months. Not something I ever would have thought would have gotten plugged

    Been having the same problem with mine. Seems like the pressure relief goes off way to soon for it to actually be maki g the claimed 10,000psi. Did you end up cutting it out? Or just clean it regularly?

    • @SkidderKev
      @SkidderKev  ปีที่แล้ว

      We just clean it. It has a rubber seal in it so thought it wouldn't hold it shape as well.

    Electric grease guns are a big time saver!! I wonder if our Milwaukees have the same screen.

    • @SkidderKev
      @SkidderKev  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm going to say yes they do. Maybe poke around next time you put In a new tube. For pumping up tracks these grease guns are a life saver.

    I'm headed to exchange mine now for another one to try it it keeps pushing grease out of the pressure valve on top if the new one doesn't work I'm going to Lincoln or Milwaukee

    • @SkidderKev
      @SkidderKev  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you clean or remove the screen? I'd go Milwaukee if you do buy a new one

    • @markhocutt2911
      @markhocutt2911 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No and also I'm not going to it's not even a month old and only used 5 times to grease my track ho we had Lincoln and they just went out after 3 years I never had to clean a screen on them I think that they should come up with a solution because time is money lol it's frustrating

    • @markhocutt2911
      @markhocutt2911 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Skidder Kev I took it to our local napa parts store where I bought the grease gun he did a lot of work for me trying to figure out if dewalt would give me another gun or money back... they will replace it but I would have to send it off for a month or better well I can't do that they wanted to blame my grease and grease fittings I just told them to not ever expect me to buy anything else dewalt we already had the drill an impact and saws all I am disappointed in myself for not getting another Lincoln they would have just replaced it this stupid gun wants to let grease come out of the top of it instead of going where I need it lol oh well you live and learn thanks for your advice

    • @SkidderKev
      @SkidderKev  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a bummer dewalt wouldn't help you out. I really wish these companies would stand behind there products. Well I hope cleaning that screen fixed your problem with it and it's still usable.

    • @markhocutt2911
      @markhocutt2911 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Skidder Kev I have cleaned it but it didn't help that much I think that the gun is just a lot slower and weaker than the Lincolns we had... yes I wish these companies would stand behind their products as well they are letting greed destroy their name working on a farm and in your case logging we rely on efficiency big time time is money is time

    • @SkidderKev
      @SkidderKev  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is just a local building lot we are clearing. Ya throwing a track sucks but doesn't take much to get it back on most of the time.

    • @loggerjohn01
      @loggerjohn01 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Are they a rubber type track.? How do they hold up for bush work?

    • @SkidderKev
      @SkidderKev  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya they are rubber style. I think bridgestones. The bush is hard on them but them seem to be doing well. About 900hrs on them now.
