      @@DeathofHeavens You're not making any sense.
      Exclusives are the whole point for consoles to even exist. For a platform holder having games on a competitors consoles doesn't make much sense business wise. They invested money in developing those games after all. Making a profit of your investment isn't scummy, it's how you don't end up bankrupt.
      Timed exclusives are another story, those are indeed scummy.
      PC is a bit different, Microsoft might own Windows, but there are a ton of different stores on the system, so I would say it's more of a neutral platform.
      I would want everything on PC, so that I don't need anything besides my Pc anymore, but that's not going to happen anytime soon.

    13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim was absolutely highway robbed out of any recognition and sales. Best story in a game I played in the past few years, hands (rubbery glove or otherwise) down.
    If you need extra convincing, Masahiro Sakurai (Mr. Smash Bros) gave it a glowing recommendation and said that there has never been a story like 13 Sentinels, and there likely won't ever will be again.

    • @KisekiFox
      @KisekiFox 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's steins' gate with the same twists as danganronpa basically
      I never really got the hype myself, I called out all the twists way before they were explained outside of a few character relationships due to having experienced said VN's
      But I didn't feel the characters got enough development for me to get invested in any of em, they felt too one note for me, it's a stacked game but it felt like it still needed more to it imo cus the cast was too big that even with that time they still didn't get enough to time to come into their own.
      I'm not even like, a hyper critical person, it's really easy for me to get invested in stories and games, I was waiting for the moment the game would click with me and that big pay off the game seemed to be building up to
      But it never came for me
      The fact no one talks about the game makes it hard to try to discuss it with others and figure out what I couldn't see cus I'm so confused how so many people call it like, the best sci fi story ever.

    It's a shame people's only interaction with Dorohedoro is the anime, it doesn't do the manga or its artstyle enough justice personally.
    TLDR - READ DOROHEDORO AND DAI DARK

    • @MrStath1986
      @MrStath1986 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Honestly really surprised that I've not seen more people say this. I felt like Dorohedoro as a show had the right vibe/attitude and approach to the series - and the OP and various ED's are utterly perfect (Strange Meat Pie could not be better for the 'bad guys' of En's gang) - but the visuals were totally way off. Dorohedoro is like looking at Simon Bisley art in manga form, it's ugly but gorgeous, all over the place and totally anarchic but it absolutely works in terms of how ridiculous the series is, and the anime captured none of that. It was too plain, too colourful, too standard. It needed the Mob Psycho 100 approach - a studio willing to approach it with a bunch of different styles based on the scene - not CGI 'eh'.

Manga is still amazing but the anime did it justice imp

    I hope your mental health continues to improve. I too had a serious breakdown in 2020 and was lucky to find an awesome therapist to help me through it. Also, 13 Sentinels was amazing, most beautiful game story I’ve experienced. Ogata = best boy

    I'm so glad you loved Laid Back Camp. It seriously brought tears to my eyes when I first watched it because it truly was a show I needed to watch last year!!
    Also this definitely makes me want to try the Dusk Trilogy. I remember watching Sophie's videos on it and I'm just so pumped to give it a shot as my first Atelier games :3

    Omg yes! I luv Laid back camp. It made me cry on multiple occasions, just because of the beautiful environments and simple cute story, and the quiet music moments. It made me wish I had a tent and a car n then just take off

    Taking that decisive step to ask for help and actively seeking it can be intimidating, but as someone who's been there I can promise you that getting over that particular wall, taking that leap of faith, is worth it. Rooting for you, Clemps!

    I’m gonna watch Laid Back Camp now. It’s already got me missing those monthly trips I would spend going to camp with my buddies.
    True story, the last time we went camping we arrived at the campsite at night, and while the process of settling in was painless. None of us could get any sleep, so our Knots Expert pulls out a ukelelei and I started singing Rebecca Sugar songs. It was wonderful and I honestly wish I could go camping again.

    13 Sentinels is a masterful game. The story flows so nicely and every twist surprise you whilst making absolute sense, which is nuts considering how obscenely complex the narrative is. The characters are all strong and make a lasting impression. I also really enjoyed the battles, they were (mostly) very easy and they're not for everyone, but they gave me a sense of scale and high stakes that's totally unique. Definitely my favorite Vanillaware game among those I played, and both Odin Sphere and Dragon's Crown are pretty damn stellar already.
    Now, if only they released Muramasa on modern platforms or the PC that would be great, definitely.
