This content format where everyone has their own video is actually quite nice, because we have more multiplayer content to watch. I especially liked the boat/land race because it was like 3 old MM videos😁.
i think they started doing this cause mm would do well on scraps channel and flop on the other channels (atleast from what scrap said about why mm hadn't been happening as often) so maybe they're doing this so everyone has a unique mm video rather than just different perspectives of the same video

For next time, perhaps they only need to find one instance of the object, but five are hidden around.
Maybe they get 2 minutes after the first is found to find as many others as they can.
To prevent players waiting till they know multiple, you could make the first person to find one worth an additional point, so they can wait but it's a mind game of how long they can...
Kan, map maker tip:
The problem isn't that it's difficult. It's that your layout is tedious.
Imagine if you would a grocery store. Now imagine this store building is HUGE, like the size of a walmart but is made up of a single wide open room. Now imagine that all the products are strictly against the 4 walls of this giant room. Meaning you would have to travel all the way from one side of the store to the other just to buy 2 things. That travel time. . . is annoying.
This is where compartmentalizing comes into play. You have a bad habit of making "needle in a hay-FIELDs". Don't make empty fields. Condense the map, reduce the travel distance. Think about how hide-and-seek maps are laid out: small rooms, which makes it easy to scan for switches. The hiding spots are still difficult, but the process of actually searching is sped up by reducing the distance/travel time. Compartmentalize the zones. The grocery store: you gotta find the pepsi in the soda isle, and the soda isle is small and compact. See how much less tedious that is?
Your maps aren't difficult, they are tedious. Condense it into small zones and increase the difficulty of actually "finding them".
this, his office one was almost better this way though because it kinda was made so they had to search every office floor anyways it sorta feel for the same issue
@@link7417 Even the act of floors is annoying because of the staircases. He coulda condensed it further with a fast elevator, which would have reduced travel time.
A better example in my opinion is when Dapper or Kasmo (I always mix them up) remade the boardgame Clue and turned it into a treasure hunt. Small rooms, quick to acess each and every one of them and it doesn't take long to search the individual rooms.
In contrast, by using floors, to get to floor 5 from floor 3, you would first have to go past floor 4. Where as with a single floor, you just travel down the hallway.
"Compartmentalization", the smaller you make the gap between the different compartments, the better. Stairs are a huge gap and you have to go through multiple of them depending on the number of stories you have to travel.
The most efficient layout is a small central room surrounded 8 rooms that can all by accessed from the center room. Sorta like a 3x3 grid, but instead of a square grid, its a circle split into 8 pizza slices and a small circle cut out in the middle to make the central room. The adjacent rooms would connect as well.

@@link7417 I just find it odd because kan is the logic engineer of the group. Room layouts give him ALL SORTS of space to do wild and zannie contraptions and puzzles. . . yet his instinct is to do open hay-fields rather than puzzle rooms.
It's just weird is all. Like, i get it's for min-maxing, minimal effort building, maximum time for the actual recording. . . but like, still tho.

@@MichaelConsidine27 i do enjoy a good hide and seek but the building competitions and doing their own designs i think are the best. I am just glad they are switching them up and allowing each person to do a theme video/their own thing too.

I'd advise using things that aren't actually supposed to be a part of something for scavenger hunts (I.E. a pizza instead of a wheel, or a garden chair instead of a carseat).
Stuff that immediately jumps out when looked at. With this one the object to look for (especially the tire) is really just too cumbersome unless it's a very obviously different colour.

By 30 minutes I would have started carving off whole sections of the lot so that the logic would think the items were missing.\
I would have just asked to reverse it for the last 2 ducks. I'd head over to their map and grab all the ones I found, and add points to my side.

I think the best way to make it easier would be to still have 5 of each item, but they only needed to get 3 per round. Maybe even end each round manually, so it gives players a chance for strategy. Anyone with 3 items CAN end a round...but they don't have to. So if they need to catch up, and they get 3 items, they can keep playing in the hopes of finding the other 2 quickly and winning 5-2 instead of 3-2. But, if the other players finds one and it is 3-3. he can also declare the round over and the settle on a 3-3 tie for that round.

You might want to write down hints during the building part so that you don't have to wonder or question yourself when trying to help them out. I know that I have a hard time to remember such stuff.

Make a maze in this parking lot, but the cars move. So it looks like a normal full parking lot, but as they move the cars move around to block them and they have to figure out the path.
Also holy hell their method of searching is so so so irritating. Like they search 7 cars in a row, skip 4 cars in that row. Get to the end "i searched them all" they deserved the pain
Giving the lights a connection to gates, like it needs the scensor AND a inout from the oposite side witch turns of if ALL of the lights on the oposite side gets lit. Thous locking the scoreboard.
Never played scrap but whouldent it be possiable to make a scoreboard that reflects the total amount from all on both sides?
