      It was likely MelkhiTzedeq's "Temple", for his Temple was on the side of the Mountain in the City of Shalem. But, sorry, Solomon's Temple was on top of the Temple Mount. It is why David went outside the Jebusite City to purchase the Granary. Solomon's Temple was NOT within the walls of the Jebusite city.

    • @craigwarren1846
      @craigwarren1846 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dovbarleib3256 The "Temple Mount" is actually the Roman Fort, the Temple is located just south of this between the Steps leading out of it and the City of David.
      Another factor for this theory is since they found the spring the priests would have cleanse themselves in CoD and that is a half mile from The Temple Mount the would have been too far to remain clean enough to enter the temple so it must have been closer.

    • @dovbarleib3256
      @dovbarleib3256 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@craigwarren1846 Not buying it for several reasons, many many reasons. The Pilgrimage Road pattern of 2 short steps and one long platform repeating over and over again was found to start at the Shiloach or Siloam Pool, the Big ritual bath next to the Main Spring in the Qidron Valley. That pattern continues all the way to the Southern Wall of the Temple Mt., stopping specifically at that Wall. If the Southern Wall was the Entrance to the Antonio Fortress, that specific Pilgrimage Road step pattern would not have continued from the Temple "in the Ophel" further north into the Fortress. The step pattern was specifically designed by an ancient Architect to Maximize Mental concentration by the Pilgrims ascending into the Temple. Just one of many reasons why Cornuke is incorrect

    • @craigwarren1846
      @craigwarren1846 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dovbarleib3256 It leads that way but no proof that it goes up to the wall of temple mount, still need excavation to confirm that.
      Simply the Temple mount is too big as well, yet it is exactly the size of roman forts.

    • @dovbarleib3256
      @dovbarleib3256 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@craigwarren1846 Actually the Southern steps are completely exposed and have been exposed for years. The beginning of the Pilgrimage Road near the Pool and Spring was recently uncovered within the past decade and matches the existing pattern at the Southern steps. Yes, the Temple Mt Courtyard is huge. And this is so because Herod the Great was great at one thing: Building projects. He, for his own reasons, wanted to turn the Holy Temple into one of the 7 Wonders of the ancient world. So he turned a rather small 2nd Temple which was smaller than Solomon's Temple into a grand and glorious showpiece. The two Compounds to the north and south of Ezra's Temple were built to be massive courts for gentile visitors to the Temple because gentiles could not enter the eastern courtyard that was only open to Israelites and the upper Western Courtyard that was only open to Temple priests. So these huge courtyard extensions for gentiles made it one of the grandest structures of the ancient world.

    Such sites require centuries or millennia of development ... in terms of craftsmanship, logistical, mathematical and cultural right up to an administrative hierarchy.
    This means that these temples and other buildings are the continuation of the settlement of the area at the highest cultural level.
    A connection to 12k year old cities like Karahan Tepe (modern day Turkey) will certainly not be direct.
    But because 12k years ago people did not only live in a single city ... it is likely that ancestors of the inhabitants of the city and temple complex also settled and had temples in the Jerusalem area or even in the same place - 12k years ago.
    Such cities, too, had a long history of technical building capabilities behind them. This then certainly also applies to their culture, statehood and religion.
    So is the temple you are showing the corollary of 12k plus a few thousand years more for the development of the ancestors of the builders of your temples?
    There is still a lot to be clarified. Protect your culture and keep researching.

    Zahi, starting at 5:08 you mention something about an "image of God" in connection with a stone apparently found near what some believe might have been the Holy of Holies. What did you mean by that? At least according to the biblical texts, ancient Israel was absolutely forbidden to make any image of God, and the Holy of Holies (in the First Temple period) only contained the Ark of the Covenant, with the Cherubim on top of it serving, so to speak, as God's throne--but no statues or sculptures or drawings, etc. of God.

    This is so incredible to watch so many non-African people are interested in the African architectural marvel of the 1000 BCE era.
    Those builders are now living in Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania.
    There're so many land have been stolen from the original owners.
    The original owners are being called either slaves or aboriginal or tribes.

      Israel is in Asia and NOT Africa. Check a map. A lot of what is called the Middle East is in Africa.

    If they can verify the site of the first temple they have then found the exact site of the second temple.

    What a beautiful peaceful place, it's such a pity that the atmosphere is ruined by the sound of a warbling Muslim on a loud-speaker.

    Looks like the ruins are occupying too much space in Israel. I appreciate history but no need to turn everything into museums because those ruins belong to a bygone era and people should focus on the future instead of getting stuck too much in the past.

    When they discover the arc of the covenant, then you will know Christ is coming. For it says as in the days of Noe.

      For two thousand years they have been saying Christ is coming back. Some say the whole Christ story is just a myth.

      @@steve4552 that should tell you just how close we really are. 2000 years from Jesus baptism will be 2028 or 2029 depending on which historian you believe. Mathematically it can’t happen before then. Scripture has a timeline. Year 6000 from Adam. Year 2000 from baptism. He was baptized amazingly year 4000 if you add up the genealogies. You should be seeing the covenant with antichrist this fall or next fall then. And a 3rd temple built shortly after. Then buckle up it gonna be crazy world. You wanna be on the right side of this.

    Comparing the stone work to megalithic or even contemporary stone work from around the globe at the time the culture which developed the skills to build these low quality walls is nothing to write home about. Soloman's temple u4real?

    Another great excavation that's scary for me knowing that there are only a few more steps to Armageddon and the return of Satan before the return of Jesus Christ. Hope I'm still here for that part.

    Bricks and mortar have nothing to do with spirituality or god, they are all “works of man”. God wants us to “love” all of mankind and all of his creation.
