The craziest part about the beef was I could put Euphoria, Meet The Grahams, and Not Like Us in the top 10 battle rap songs of all time. He dropped them over 10 days… That’s insane. With that 6:16 in LA might be my favorite song from the whole thing. Family Matters wasn’t a bad song. But he can’t expect to get a win dropping at a 50% rate and he teased it too early while showing his hand. Should’ve left the Whitney bar out and he could’ve had a little more of a surprise when it dropped.
@ he may have had templates of songs, or roughs. But he had to fine tune them after Drakes songs/ or he heard Drakes songs prior to them dropping. But he couldn’t have planned to have the third verse of NLU, since it was predicated on rebutting the “Slaves Freed” bar.
TOP 10 DISS RECORDS OF THE BATTLE: 1. Euphoria - Ether has a new companion in rap diss lore. Dot completely dismantled his opponent on various levels. The build up of the beat through the track, entendres galore, punch after punch and rebuttals. Simply one of the greatest disses ever. 2. 6:16 In LA - Ironically, you could argue this was more “euphoric” in its design the aforementioned track. The soul sample that bleeds thru Dots venomous yet tact and cryptic lyrics. The hook brings the listener to a Kaleidoscope of emotion. Interstellar is the best way you could describe this one. 3. Peekaboo - I SEE YOU… Playful yet chilling and disrespectful. Dot basically is “playin with his food” with aid of AZ Chike. The chorus is repetitive and catchy and slightly thought provoking but very funny. The production is A1. Certified bop. 4. Wacced Out Murals - The tone setter for the GNX project. Perfect. Dot basically raps thru a grimace half the record. Another beat build. Momentous and declarative, the MC calls out all the current events of the battle and any potential challengers. 5. Not Like Us - THEY NOT… the anthem that has untied a generation or three is Dots crowning achievement in the battle. A hook so catchy it makes the industry envy. Mustard delivers another layup. This time for Dot. 6. TV OFF - ANOTHA one. Similar to the themes of records like Euphoria and NLU, TV is basically Mustards assist allah Wade to Dots LBJ. Dot is ferocious from start to finish and when the transition hits the only comparison I can make is ironically the switch on Sicko Mode… coincidence I think not. 7. Family Matters - 3Piece, hold the biscuit. This track is a great feat in artistic vision and taste. The best selections for this 3parter are beyond superb. Easily ranking at the top of Drakes discography. The flows, the insinuations, the subs, disrespect, timing, video and theatre of it all makes it a classic… although in a losing effort but it’s still an A. 8. Like That - RECORD SKIP. “Excuse me sir?”, is essentially what Metro and Dot had in mind as the listeners reaction. Pure unexpected mayhem from the Compton MC on an already banger of a performance by Future. Absolute classic and the kick off of the battle. 9. 7 Minute Drill - Yes. I know. However it is an actual diss. An effort made by the infamous J Cole. The diss while mild in its efforts shows the elite ability of the MC. He went lite and it was still dope. The transition with Conductor shows you what it could be if Cole went to war. However, he white flagged it. 10. Push Ups - Tame but aggressive. Passively… an attempt that was first drawn by Drake… low replay value but impactful in the moment.
I like this except for Family Matters and Push Ups for the simple reason that Drake degraded another woman who had done nothing to him. Tired of Drake trashing women as a way to target the men they have beef with.
When they talk about love for rap and hip hop. 30:30 in. This makes me think of Savon. He’s the pop head of the group that lucked into hip hop culture. This podcast is the future “I’ll name this podcast later” love for the group
@2:57. I agree with Regi. I didn’t believe him. I was “crazy” UNTIL he deleted it and apologized (which I respect on a human level outside of a rap battle)
Drake never had a chance because he use another battle rapper he always have use help to try beat his opps taylor made and back 2 back which explains why he didn't respond to Ludacris and pusha-t
I still don’t get the excuse you give Dot for taking FPS as a shot , cos Cole mentioned Steppers? ? ? He already said he’s a jealous guy, and a hater. If you have someone like that in your life, you’d hate them. Somehow we love Kendrick. Anyway thankful for Dodger Blue
Jealous of what? Apparently he refused to be in the song... He didn't Said he was jealous, he Said he was selfish, the crown is Heavy. They were playing like they were the 2 big guys, Kendrick Said nahhh, u not it... It is pretty Simple. And he is like that hip-hop wise, it is a sport, someone gotta be the best, no kumbaya...
Nyla is EXTREMELY biased lol. The rest of them are objective and Savon is a huge Drake fan. Saying Kendrick was in the shadows shows YOUR bias. Just because he doesn’t constantly “feed the streets” with lackluster music doesn’t mean he ever left being a top artist.
No objective person who isn't a Drake Stan agrees with you. He copied Euphoria which did the same thing and Euphoria had more quotable lines and memorable moments by far
Euphoria definitely the best diss track of the battle
Easily
fashooo but i do like 6:16 a lot for a close second
Facts
I agree
Euphoria the best diss
Like that the best song
Not like us the greatest song/diss
Nyla is mad cute 😍

Kendrick didn’t drop any songs In 10 days, he already did all is production before he start of everything.

They started it, and Cole and Aubrey know Kendrick is selfish dude, and crown very heavy to share
