One thing you forgot to mention with Dread Mob is that on the 5 to 6 roll of Try Dat Button, the -2 AP buff is applied on a 4+ if its a vehicle or monster. You've gone from a -2 AP 3 Dam to -4 AP 3 Dam
Using the Big Mek to deliver them can then bypass screening units to target vehicles, and can hide behind walls until charge. Also the S12 D3 drilla is decent against vehicles
You sadly can’t move through the engagement range of enemy models with the Big Mek rule (for example, crusher stampedes strat to walk through models and walls specifically states you can move through engagement range)

@@Paterrierules as written made it warbosses couldn't get their bonuses if they were in a truck. But literally everyone ignored it. Ork rules are terribly written.
I think a secret strength for this unit is that it doesn't NEED to be led by a character to be good. Outside of Bully Boyz, you can have your warbosses in other units that need the +1 To Hit a lot more, like Nobz.
I’ve been toying around with a Taktikal Brigade list and going back and forth with the split between 3 min units of nobz and Breaka Boyz in trukks. Right now I’m on 2 nobz and 1 breaka boyz but I can definitely see me adding another breaka boy unit. I think they are awesome as an anti tank unit we’ve been needing. I also love the idea of adding another +1 to strength on Waagghh turn to hit t4 models on 2s or T6 models on 3s to wound on non Waaagh turns if I absolutely need to. It’s good flexibility and I’m here for the unit.
I don't think it's quite that bad. Nobs cost 21 pts per model, or 10.5 per wound, while the Breaka Boyz are 23.3 pts per model, or 11.7 pts per wound, so they aren't crazy overcosted compared to nobz. While I wouldn't complain about a cost cut, that doesn't seem too egregious for a squad of specialized nobz that provide an additional option against high-toughness vehicles and monsters.

As a Votann player, I can vouch for -4 AP 3 Dam melee weapons being really damned good 😂

It's more you can bump them to AP-4 in Dread Mob that's pushing me in that direction.
