    Dylan. Thanks for sharing some of your personal story. It’s not always easy. I really appreciate what you do and the example you set. Keep up the good work and I hope to make it out to your shop one of these days.

    I drink coffee that’s it. You are a good dude. Really enjoy your posts. For punk records I suggest the recent reissue of redd Kross’s first album, new day rising by husker du or zen arcade, for fun try the Toy Dolls dig that groove lp. Thanks, I know you are busy yet you make great posts.

    Zero Boys are legendary, not just here in Indianapolis, but in the punk community. I love 'Vicious Circle '!!! The Master Tape is great as well. A lot of regional Midwest bands on that. There is a Master Tape 2 as well.

      And Sloppy Seconds! I also had Vicious Circle on cassette back in the day. I think I picked it up used at Future Shock when it was still on the strip in Broad Ripple. It had some bonus tracks on it that I haven’t been able to track down since.

    Hey Dylan, awesome video as usual. I always enjoy your finds , advice, anecdotes and passion for vinyl. Those are some really cool LPs you found and acquired from your pal. I am a huge Overkill fan! I've been listening to them since I was 13, and I'll be 46 this year. I remember when The Years of Decay was released, and the video for Elimination came out. I watched the Galactic Premiere of it on MuchMusic, as I am from Canada. It blew me away, and it has remained one of my all time favorite albums ever since. I have a good number of their vinyl in my collection, with the exception of this masterpiece. I have never seen a copy in the wild, and I'm starting to think that it will never be reissued in my lifetime! ( What are they waiting for?!? ) I was wondering, if you ever decide to sell it, would you be willing to give me first crack at it. It is a big grail for me and I would buy it in a heartbeat, if you choose to let it go. Let me know if this is something you would be willing to do, it would mean a heck of a lot. Take care and stay safe,
    Shawn

    Zero Boys are from Indy where I live (nearby anyway). Their bass player Tufty is freaking amazing. Pay close attention next time you listen. He plays with his fingers also which isn’t terribly common for punk.

    Hey buddy, I have a question unrelated to this video. Maybe you can do one on the subject. I was looking for records on ebay and I noticed that reporductions are being priced way higher than originals on most records. I understand the repro is new, but in my opinion the new180g records don't nearly as good as the originals, and the lineage of getting an original record has value to me. I only buy originals and I think its kinda bs that they can just remake any record. Love to hear your thoughts. Take er easy

    BTW, you can tell the DK album is an early pressing because the band on the back still have their heads on their shoulders. They were a 60s band who later became reborn Christians and they threatened to sue the DKs for using their photo on such a scandalous album. Later pressings still have the same picture but minus their heads.

    Question: do you store your entire collection with the record in the innner sleeve BEHIND the outer? I know that it is good to ship records this way, but hadn't considered storing my collection that way. Do you miss being able to look at the back of the artwork without pulling out the vinyl?

    • @Sarge_72
      @Sarge_72 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just started doing it this way - was a bit skeptical but since I typically play whatever I pull from the Kallax, I look at the backs then lol
      Just back into Vinyl after a few decades away, so the whole ‘protective sleeve’ thing is new to me but makes sense - I now have my original 80s stuff all protected 👍🏻. Collection was 30 albums a month ago - now it’s 51.... I need help lol
