Gonna be philisophical and in third person real quick. Imagine being someone who doesn't like their voice. Even though they may learn to accept it, learning to make themselves use it is even more difficult. The melodies that die off when they sing them are even more tragic by then. They had been born in the heart, where many die off then and there only to reach the mind, clouded by indecision and clutter, and even if they make it there, the song may once again, die off then and there. It wont be written, or sung, or even thought about and eventually fades away after all the hardships it's gone through. Finally, those that are sung. They finally transform from a brainwave into something that could truly exist and be it's own thing, and yet these normally only happen in the middle of the night. They are forgotten the day after or are butchered now to be recorded and certainly are forgotten about even then. Those songs are a tragedy in and of themselves. They make it further than any other of their kind, pushing past every limit they have, and yet they still die young.

The rhythm of the song's drums reminds me a little bit of Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion. The chimes/glockenspiel/vibraphone tune at 2:48 ~ 3:00 reminds me of the song "Combustion" (Elpizo's theme) from Mega Man Zero 2. All in all, the song itself has a fleeting feel to it - just as fleeting as the memories of the song that was sung in the rain. Wonderful job! The sound of the song aside, I recognized a few characters and symbols from other works. Fran (or maybe Ash) from PhantomAria at 0:21, 2:46 ~ 2:52, and the last character shown at 3:21 (Dark Blue). I initially guessed Sandra from SLEEP HOUSE at 0:32 ~ 1:15 and the second-to-last character shown at 3:21 (Red), however that might also be the character from ROLE PLAY, or one of either Touko, Yuuko, Kyoko, Eiko, or Ayako. Ashley from PhantomAria at 1:25 ~ 1:34 and the third character shown at 3:21(Light Blue). Daniella from PhantomAria at 1:38 ~ 1:55 and the second character shown at 3:20 (Teal). Lisa from PhantomAria at 1:57 ~ 2:19 and the first character shown at 3:20 (Violet). The shattering heart at 2:20 ~ 2:25 is from "heartless". Fits well with the lyrics about having no heart in "UNREMEMBERABLE SONG"! The cracked mirror at 2:27 ~ 2:30 is from the song "PLAY". If I recall and have heard the lyrics correctly, PLAY mentions not having any truths in one of the lines also, so that fits well here, too. And unrelated to any of the other previous works, at the beginning of the song (0:00 ~ 0:01), a character LITERALLY kicks a bucket, knocking it over. I wonder if this is a symbol of the euphemistic meaning of "kicking the bucket" (meaning to die)?
With the girl at 0:32, I thought of ROLE PLAY at first, but given second thought she might be the girl from LEFT OUT... Singing the song no one requested

I've been enjoying your work for years but have never commented until now; I absolutely adore this song and seriously cannot get enough. It makes me feel nostalgic about being in the city for college; that feeling of quaint somberness in the face of all the hustle-and-bustle of the big city is captured so well here and I thoroughly enjoy it. If the situation improves and I can return for future years, I definitely look forward to listening to this song in its proper element.
