My grandpa has a collection of vintage lego, from the late 60’s to the early 80’s. I have some incomplete but working 12 volt trains. (720 & 7750 with motor but incomplete, 7810 without motor but complete.) I have been slowly piecing them toghether, and i still like them and the 12V system more then my 60052 and 60051.
THANK YOU for this video! I have the same story, this was my centerpiece in my childhood city too, from 1986-1992 ❤We`re the same age. I still have it but in pieces, with a few important pieces missing. I counted them today and one base, its wheels and magnet couplings, one red door, one red/black-printed panel and five big- and one small windows are missing. It haven`t been in action/assembled ever since (approx 1992). `This` came up today because I got over a complete set in mint condition(!) for "only" $400 so I consider to but it. This one too have all the stickers to the sheet so they`re not applied, as yours. What do you think, should I buy it? 😁
Great set. Love the classic trains

Thanks for your comment and memories! Amazing what LEGO can provide in terms of nostalgia! If you've got the cash, maybe splash it! :) Good luck!
I have one of these in the attic, used it only once at Xmas in the 80’s as I got a Hornby at the same time. Good to see it’s worth something it seems
Mam oryginał z pudełkami i zasilaczem, po tylu latach, dalej sprawna. Chyba zrobię film
Very cool video!
I got my first Lego Train at Christmas 1985. It was the 7735 Fright Train. And I still collecting 12V Lego stuff :-)
Thanks! I’m doing a video of some of my 12v stuff soon - those are all great sets!
I had a 7722. It's still at home in Hong Kong, bit the signal is broken.
Lego should made pro version of 9v /12 v engines.

Haven't spoken to them in awhile - it was 30 years ago!
