I absolutely love the way you have written this what if scenario, Thrawn outsmarting Palpatine and dismantling his plan is a perfect display of his genius and strategic brilliance. The manipulator was now the one manipulated. Love it!
I especially love the twist of using a Ysalmir from Legends to negate his powers, that was a Chiss Sith Lord level IQ Play!

I can see that if Thrawn joined the Republic, he'd be a part of Anakin's circle and part of his surrogate family outside of blood and species. The Dream Team: Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, Thrawn, Padmé Amidala Skywalker, Captain Rex, Commander Cody, Fives, Wax, Boil, and Kix.
Don't forget to include Plo Koon and his Wolfpack, and Bariss Offee whose abilities to force heal would be a huge boon, and a chance for her to get away from her jedi master.

Interesting interesting, I can see Dooku having a good ending here, actually having a chance to try what he wanted with helping the people, and falling away from the Dark side, back towards the light, or at least a grey area. This one could definitly have a part 2.

I love thrawn, he’s a true threat to even the sith and he didn’t even have the force.
I feel this story and theory is honestly worth a part 2 or a sequel of some sort. This seems like such a unique and interesting what if with Thrawn in it, I can't help but wanna see what's next for the story. Maybe the Yuuzhan Vong, for the sake of this story, arrives at the SW galaxy much earlier than in the stories, and we get Republic and Separatists, clones and droids, teaming up to stop thid new threat to the Galaxy, with Thrawn, Anakin, Ahsoka, maybe even Dooku and the other Jedi, at the helm of it.
I feel thrawn would see through the deception of order 66 as well. He would have read about clones turning on their Jedi and what happened to fives. His style of learn everything would have destroyed all of the plans in place
One of your best Fan fictions. But it has one glaring issue. The Jedi knowing Dooku was a Sith, would never have allowed him to just become the leader of the separatist

The crime Palpatine committed was not being a Sith but aiding the enemy
Dooku did not do such treachery so the Jedi couldn't do anything without provoking a war again
I think if the Jedi refused to agree to Dooku becoming the leader of the Separatists, many people in the Republic will likely turn against them for prolonging the war.
Thrawn is my favorite non-force user character in all of SW and I wish he joined the New Republic instead in the novels.

I love it, my only caveat is I think he'd blackmail Padme and the Jedi to form an Empire telling them the truth the Republic they serve is a lost cause and if they want the name of the true master of the clone war he'd tell them if Padme and Anakin ruled Padme as empress and Anakin as consort. No way he trusts the failing republic's leadership, having seen Padme fight and studied her rule of Naboo he'd trust her rule to fair and after war strong
This was rather fantastic. Hyper competent individuals are very difficult in general to make even believable, let alone interesting. I enjoy the focus on greater narratives rather than try to make a "thrawn strategy" win. Good Job!

This is so in-line with Cannon Thrawn from the books. If the timeline if the Chiss war was just a bit earlier, maybe Thrawn could have stopped this all before it started.

So cool and calcualting a begin that is what makes Thrawn so good a character and I loved how he was able to tell that in this version right away something was off on Palatine not even the Jedi had picked up on the art works, This made a great story and version of the whole war diferent and an exciting to see just how it would fold out how would Thrawn descover Palatines secert and beat him.

Rebels really paints an emotionless yet conniving and genius Thrawn, but the novels points to Thrawn being very emotional (yet still a genius). It’s nice to see the latter.
This was so good and like another commenter said we definitely need a part 2 and that ending was perfect!!!
Here’s the thing I think he won’t like Anakins impulsive behaviour and act, but at the same time knows how much of an assets he is due to his prowess in combat, as well as a lot of his impulsive actions seemingly paying off a lot.
He would probably focus on talents like him, keeping them safe (like from corrupt people and what missions he sends them on) as well as try to manipulate anakin into training harder and focusing learning therefore making him more powerful (not only him but other talents like Kenobi who he will like)

Baylan wants to end the balancing act between the dark and the light... The cycle that always repeats and causes so much destruction....I think his ambition is the same as Kraya's and he wants to bring an end to the force, creating a new beginning where the galaxy isn't subject to the will of the force. I don't think he's searching for a powerful force entity like Abeloth, "that power is fleeting", he knows history and every time a great light or dark has come to power, the other side eventually overcomes it. I think a wound in the force is what he's hoping to find and what's calling to him.
What if Jedi Council sent Ki Adi Mundi with Qui Gon Jinn and Obi Wan to fight maul?
He would enquire about the attack on the wookies.

I’m currently writing a star wars what if on AO3 based around what if Jyn Erso survived combined with what if Jyn met and fell in love Luke Skywalker. I have currently gotten to the Empire strikes back.
Aldo my what if submissions are carried over from last time so day 3 pretty sure:
A choose your own adventure esc what if where at the end of the video you get a choice by clicking on another video and each choice will impact the ending
Any way onto my what if suggestions.
1) what if Padme was forced to marry for the Republic during the clone wars?
2) what if Padme was enslaved by the Hutts or Zygerianns during the clone wars?
3) what if Padme was made a prisoner of war during the clone wars?
4) what if Cal and Merrin had a daughter (aka. Jedi/Nightsister hybrid)?
5) what if Cal trained Luke Skywalker?
6) what if Ahsoka trained Luke Skywalker (and probably told him who darth vader was, though I feel like this one is slightly close to this what if)?
7) what if Jyn Erso survived combined with what if Jyn Erso met and fell in love with Luke Skywalker?
8) what if Ezra and Sabin had a child.
As I said I’m doing number seven on AO3 though I might do number one and number four because I have ideas for them

What if Thrawn and the crew of the chimera joined the rebel alliance or the resistance?
lets say when Thrawn was asked to help with the rebels by governor price it's the nail in the coffin for him how inept the rest of Empire is besides himself, and he becomes further impressed by the rebels an decides join.
Or he could join when he discovers agent kallus is a spy or he decides to subvert the Empire from within.
Or he has a change of heart when he is exiled in the unkown regions and joins with ezra and ezra summons the purgill to bring them back or when Ahsoka shows up they all return and become New Republic allies or returns home until he comes back to eventually help fight the first order.

I mean, he wouldn’t take chances, especially since the Seperatists had their fair share of Sith to exercise caution; Dooku, Ventress, and the turned Pong Krell.
He’d likely assume that someone manipulating the war involving both Jedi and Sith had to be one themselves.

Honestly you did a pretty good job here. Extremely intelligent characters are not the easiest to write. When it comes to writing intelligence there are two extreme ways it can be, and often is, written. Provide too much information or provide little to no information.
Give too much context for the intelligent characters thought process. And thus why they made a certain or came to a certain conclusion.
Or give too little context.
We don't need, or want, every last detail of how Thrawn came to his conclusions or decisions. We just need, and want, just enough. You provided just enough. And in way that makes sense.

Thrawn joining at this time and immediately noticing the war was a game makes total sense. I feel once he joined the Empire eventhough Thrawn saw the issues with it his pride got in the way so when he started loosing instead of switching sides for the sake of his people he doubled down. I think if he joined the republic he would have defended it from becoming the Empire, again since he doesn't like loosing. Especially how impressed he was with the Jedi, if they weren't purged he would have seen them as the strongest ally, although flawed as well.
Thrawn using the Art in palpatine's office and using the force blocking lizard to kill him was nice touch.

I highly doubt anything would’ve changed, Thrawn would be as Tarkin was. A genius and tactical strategist - one who may have been ruthless against the Jedi when Order 66 was ordered due to studying the religion. He wouldn’t have had Jedi command him rather he would command them, using strategy with the Jedi antics into account (as shown when he had to deal with a Jedi clone and his insane antics).
He would acknowledge the strength of the Jedi and possibly give respect - when it is earned (as shown when Thrawn worked with Vader and eventually worked it out that Vader was Anakin and tried to get Vader to admit Anakin and Vader were one in the same).

I mean Thrawn is a genius so you have to know the story extremely well front to back and then write him into it. You did a good job imo especially with not being a "writer". I love your stories and think you do well, if i didnt i wouldn't be subscribed haha

Always like Thrawn, as well as his successor in the Legend books. Have, but have not read, the new Thrawn books, so was thinking it was so early for him to have known about the Ysalamir. Nice to see a way for Thrawn to be on the Republic side rather than the Empire's.
