Glad you liked it and hope it makes sowing them little bitty deeds a lot easier for you. I have several different templates with different spacings and depths so I can select the one I want to use for whatever I am planting. It makes a small space very productive. Thanks for watching my friend👍

Thank you so much for explaining how to build this seed template. I had watched Martha Stewart use one, but had always thought it was very difficult to make. I think I can knock the carrot and radish 3" one out this afternoon, and the 6" onion template out tomorrow!

Thank you for showing how to make templates! These are so easy to make and so convenient. I will start making mine now that I understand how it is done. THANK YOU! And Hollis & Nancy, thank you for all the videos you make. My grandmother had a green thumb and could grow anything, but, of course, I did not take the time to learn from her before she passed. I have so many books on gardening, but I learn best from watching someone, and you two take the mystery out of it. I sit with my coffee and notebook in front of your vidoes and write down everything you are teaching. You are now like good friends teaching me now TO DO this.

Hollis and Nancy,...you guys are the best.! Love you're videos and can't wait to see another one. My partner and I have planted over 20 fruit trees and I have a garden 56 x 32 and we just got our 3 fainting goats tat are both pregnant with twins. We will have 1 each of miniature British Highlands, Bull and Heifer in a month. The chickens will be here in 3 weeks. Our homestead is slowly coming along. We had to clear a lot off this property when I brought this acre and a half 3 years ago in a unrest ricked subdivision. But we are flourishing each and every day. Thank you and both for you're service to God and the community...God bless you both.

Mr. Hollis!! Do you use fish and garden lime in all of your vegetables when you are growing them? I notice you use blood meal, bone meal, Pete moss, fertilizer. I like to watch different people how they plant their vegetables, berries, and fruit tree’s. I love the way you and your wife do it. I see the end product of what you all harvested. Keep on doing what you’re doing. I think you and Nancy are doing a great job!! I notice I seen on your video, about the cross in your backyard. When you shared what it was for. You had tears in my eyes. My heart goes out to you and Nancy. Love you guys!!

You are an awesome teacher. Thank you for this. One question: isn't 1" sorta deep for small seeds like carrots and radishes? Maybe that's why I don't have much luck LOL, I've been planting in a hole twice the size of the seed.

You can maybe try using some more of the wooden dowel, the same dowel that's being used to poke the holes in the ground, only leave them about 3 feet long each, attach each dowel to the board where you see his metal handles with one screw from the underside and maybe use some glue too.

      1. I made my template with 1" pegs because it is easier to build. When I cover the seed I only back fill about half the hole covering the seed with 3/8" soil
      2. 1 seed per hole to eliminate coming back later and thinning
Have a blessed day at church😇
