I was a kid the last time I saw Ahuja sound machine but a bit older the last time I saw Ahuja Ismaila Bello. Amazing to know the latter got his name from the former; amazingly too for his dexterity on the sound machine under the tutelage of another sound machine of Ondo clan. I saw him. He intentionally lowered the right excess of his ‘agbada’ made of high-quality lace material with sparkling sequence; went close to his stage engineer with clear instruction in his mien - ‘the sound should be perfect, ok!’. He returned to the stage with a smile, staggering along with a gold-tipped walking stick. The sound was better thereafter. He truly matches Sunny Ade in height and appearance…..oh and in musical style too. The auto crash might have reduced the balance of Ahuja’s feet, but his musical balance remains unbroken. Old soldier never die! I wish him a good come back and a long life. “Ahuja Bello lo ni nki gbogbo yin Eku odun ooooo E kuyedun ooooo...."
They would forget that everyone has enemies within and outside and once you want to be a star, your bloodline may even be the worst enemies not your rivals
FAME IS VERY GOOD IN (HUMAN`S LIFE), AHUJA BELLO NEVER KNEW THAT HE (AHUJA BELLO) WAS EVEN OLDER THAN SUNNY ADE FOR (4 YEARS). IMAGINE HE WAS BORN IN (1942) AND KSA WAS BORN (1946). BUT D TO LONG TERM POPULARITY WITH FAME AND LITTLE WEALTH BACK THEN, I GUESS HE WOULD EVEN BE PROSTRATING TO KSA ACCORDING TO HIS NARRATION OF FIRST TIME MEETING BETWEEN THEM.

So sad, to see him this way. Kare Baba mi, omo agbagba tolalu iseyin ja, omo iseyin oro, omo ebedi moko, ilu eyo, kiki aponle. Ale asan ju owurolo Babami. Kadupe lowo eni, torini, tomoju, eniyani, kowo ibi tawa. Esehun atokun eto
A fantastic track and a big hit in its day. It remains a mystery as to why Alhaji AB never progressed musically to really give KSA and Emperor Pick Peter a run for their monies and be at similar level as KSA, the great one today. Perhaps it was because they focused too much on copying KSA at the time but couldn't evolve out of that. KSA took things to unbelievable level with compositions, instruments and drums repertoire of the very highest order to become the greatest musician to have ever lived bar NONE but AAB and others just disappeared until recently in interviews. I know AAB had accidents etc but he could have achieved so much more. But it's probably late now as he approach his 80s. He'll sadly go down as another nearly one.
You are absolutely right. They were all throwing juju at each other in those early years and the luckiest one got away as winner. Merry Xmas & Happy New Year in advance.
In all the comments here and what actually happened, juju musicians are far more matured in their approach. With all these downfalls, Fuji musicians would have said it was Barrister, Killington or K1 setting them back. You won't really see juju musicians accusing others for their downfalls
