    A lot of comments about how painful it seems to remove the cartridges. Yes, it did take time, but this was my first time doing it. Also, this machine wasn’t specifically designed to use other cartridges as it’s main feature. Also think about it, how often am I going to be changing cartridges? Once a month at the most? Anyway, the protea is far better for cutting at greens height and doesn’t float on top. The Swardman is great for cartridges though 👌🏽

    Also, go to your local bike shop and get some master-link pliers. Bike chains have the same link on them and the pliers makes it SUPER easy to get the link out and back in. Might just work for your chain...

    After the brush, I’d give the lawn a light water to settle the soil back down. Also perfect strategy when mowing after a topdress - light water, then mow. No soil pickup, no blunt bottom blade or cylinder.

    Does the yellow scalp go away over time if you cut at that same height, or do you need to cut lower than the height you want to live at so the leaf grows back up to where you want it?

  • @BigAlby
    @BigAlby 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Not quite as easy as the Swardman. Almost seems like if you could add weight to the Swardman it may be a better option. I don’t own one, but I wonder if there is a way to fill the rear roller with something to add weight?

    • @LawnTips
      @LawnTips  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah nah, the engine wouldn’t be able to handle it if I added more weight. It already was bogging down a bit when I added those bricks.
      In all honesty, how often to you think I’d use the brush?
