I bought this exact TV on your review and I'm so glad I did. Moving up from a Panasonic 65 plasma that I love and that still looks stunning 12 years on. I haven't found anyone else reviewing the ADS pro panel 75 so it was very helpful for me. I particularly like the off angle viewing that the other U7N & U8N panels don't offer. My pug loves it too!
Good stuff Brandon! U7N was a pretty great value you get a premium remote too 55” was $599 it’s a no brainer over the edge lit and direct lit TVs at this price point
Looking to get the Bravia 7 for our secondary room but this (and the U8N) have me interested. We love Sony PQ and processing, however. Is this noticeably worse on that front?
Its pretty similar on all fronts besides the image processing, the sony processing is much better than even the runner ups like LG who now on their series 4 OLEDS have much better processing than before but compared to this hisense the sony is worlds better on that front.
ME own 2 Falgship Hisense U8, that I had $5000 LED thats’ 60” before. I would absolutely say U8N. U8N has 3X --CONTRAST ratio of Bravia 7. It has 2X Native Contrast Ratio of Bravia 7. U8N has Color Volume Surpass S95B, it reach Color Volume of Samsung S95C. Once tweaked they will look Absolutely 97-98% S95C. SONY Bravia 7 I JUST saw in store 65” and 75” i was disappointed , it has MROE MATTED- YES FINE GRAIN MATTED screen. IN DAY Time-Anything dark will look FUZZY n weird. The pale matt will be immediately noticeable . That negates the REASON ppl want Bright LED> SONY has --Blue light coming from back of tv, mix with RED/Green from front. So the color will look very pestle. Because the colors should have much blue like yellow, pink, brown will not be escape blue. The RED will look more aged Blood than Fresh blood red. I cant explain. Hisense n Samsung has-White light coming from back meet RED/Blue/Green to have more REAL NATRUAL blends of color that suit for human eyes. In Biology, we aare taught Human eyes are more likely to pick up more mild warm tone than pestle blue. (Spring morning vs Cloudy day). Our brain pick up more VISUAL in Warm tone not blue tone. The Processing n upscaling they more fun of are talking about DVD n BLUE RAY. If u are NOT constantly watch Blue ray or DVD (i never watched blue ray once in my life), its NOT a notable feature. When everything else is Significantly less appitizing. From Screen matting, blue tint, then the 1/3 level contrast ratio. REALLY not worth it. 2023 Hisense U8K already 1.6X of Bravia 7 Contrast Ratio. Brandon has those videos.
Just to let everyone know. The EU , South African and Indian versions of this Tv have the eARC on the HDMI 3 port (2.1 4k 144hz) and not the HDMI 1 port (2.0 4k 60hz) so you lose an HDMI 2.1 port if using a soundbar.

The main issue you have with Hisense is reliability. On paper, this looks like a no brainer until you drop 1100.00 on a 65” that is broken in 12 months. I’ll say this, when i was looking at the U8N at Best Buy, the salesman said he’d “rather have a budget Samsung than a high end Hisense.”

Hey good work as always. Any recommendations on a 55 on my gazebo ? No direct sun just indirect reflections off walls. Completely under the gazebo . Trying not to spend too much as I expect short life being outside in the summer in the Midwest then moving inside in winter . Tried an entry level Hisense qd6 from Costco and wasn’t bright enough in the afternoon to overcome indirect reflections . Mainly watch sports and TH-cam tv but super sensitive to motion handling
I have just purchased the 75 inch version of this tv and haven’t had too much time with it over the last day since I got it delivered and set up but so far positive results
“Jen is not here for this unboxing but she’ll be back later” Me subconsciously: skips to later Nice review and Hisense are really upping their game so they can be judged on par with the big hitters. Will be very interesting to see where Hisense TVs sit in five years time comparison to Sony, LG and Samsung
Nice looking tv for the money. Just curious when you said you watch lots of YTTV. Not long ago you were pushing Direct TV and said you have been using it since college. Why the change?
It’s called --- motion 😮Sickness . It happens when u SIT Too CLOSE to the tv . If it’s 65” u need at least 8.5’ for watching shows , if play video games or watching sports u need at least 9’ feet distance . If sit too close , only takes like 3-5 min for u get sick , n headache , nausea…. Even if u sit over 9 feet away (optimal 9.5-10) takes eyes 1 weeks to get thru the Break in period . But if u sit too close like 8 feet haven’t go t thru break in , it’s immediate Bad! If u had 75” n sit like 9-9.5’ for sure will feel sick . D same reason ppl Hate sitting at Front 5 rows of Theater . Tv is much brighter than Theater , if Half a foot out Of Eye Focus orbit n image is moving a lot . It’s immediately Big NO ! Some ppl already have Near Sightedness, they can sit bit closer . But most ppl can not without causing eye damage over time . Suggest u buy back the smaller size tv u will see no issue . 😊
Come back and let us know in a few months how your TV is doing! I purchased a U8K 75 inch 8 months ago and the picture was BRILLIANT & BEAUTIFUL however the TV suffered from numerous glitches that increased over a 6 month period. Eventually I ended up with a black screen. I think Hisense should focus on 𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚.
I would do U8N 75” ADS-PRO. That panel is so HIGH end. I saw it in store in person for like 2 hrs. I just wentt back to store checked Samsung S90D S95C. The U8K 75” looked Better than S90D. (S90D is half as Dim , LOTS dim out zoom out shadow details--which will look fuzzy). Qm8 hast Blue light coming from back(like SONY) mix with red/green from front, so everything has more blue in it. It can e little bit pestle .Samsung/Hisense has white light coming from back n mix wth red/blue/green from front. So it can be more Real Natural. If Ur past tv is Samsung U will Prefer Hisense. If ur past tv is SONY, u wont mind either. If u want True 180’ degree Viewing angle looks like QD-OLED , then ADS-PRO . I am AIMING for ADS-PRO. ADS-PRO has 2X contrast of ADS. So GLOSSY so comfortable to watch.
I’m happy to have found your videos, you do a great job! I’m torn between this and the 2024 QM7. Looking at 75”-85” for our living room. This would be mixed usage primarily streaming shows/movies and an antenna for sports. Any thoughts on these? I’ve also considered the U6N for something about $350 cheaper, but I think I’d get significant improvement for my money going with the U7N or QM7. We would be moving our 55” 2018 Vizio P Series to a different room. We have a $568 Best Buy store credit to replace the Vizio to help bring the price down even more.
As I have said on these, 75" get the hiaense u7n or u8n. Both have the ADS panel that looks better than any of the top MiniLED from TCL, Samsung, or Sony in this price range. 85" it's less different and any of them would be good. 98" TCL q6 looking good so far but smaller sizes are 60hz panel so I don't recommend thay or the u6n
Appreciate your insight! Have an 85” QM7 being delivered today, hopefully we love it and it has less issues than our Vizio. TCL and Hisense seem to have some impressive mid and premium tier TVs compared to what you can get from the big brands for the same price.
Hello Brandon I’m a new subscriber to your channel. have you posted anywhere your recommended settings for the 75inch u7n. My only fear is buying one and not having the knowledge to calibrate. I’m 71 and calibrate a tv is not something I grew up with
You don't need to calibrate it. I listed some of the settings changes I do in the video and rtings has more of that stuff written. Just in movie or cinema mode is a good start
U7n I made the mistake buying the qned had to send back to bestbye mine only went to 60 hz and the magic remote is god awful…. Just ordered the highsense and it’s 150 dollars cheaper n can go to 144 hz no brainer for me…
I bought it when it first came out. Only thing is that when i mounted my soundbar under the tv using a bracket, the remote stopped working. Hisense sent me a new remote but it started working when i removed the soundbar.
Brandon, I think the reason the Bravia 7 looks dimmer in low APL scenes is not because of the backlight but its poor reflection handling. In a dimly lit room I think the specular highlights would be impressive in low APL scenes.
The room conditions were same. The reflection was not a problem. The picture was poor on that specific scene in normal lighting. It could have just been our TV but we had to make some changes to get it bright enough. Didn't have to with U7N. Both great tvs overall
@@BTheInstaller I understand both televisions were under the same light conditions, that’s the point! While the UN7 doesn’t have great reflection handling either you’ll see from your own video the UN7 is noticeably better than the B7 at reflecting light (9:37 mark). If you bothered to take the time to test under darker conditions it would be obvious it’s not the backlight as the B7 would have just as bright if not brighter specular highlights in low APL scenes as the UN7. No question the UN7 is the better TV in a bright room because Sony went cheap when it came to an anti reflective coating on the panel.
Just bought this tv. I’m having issues with the settings for gaming. In fifa for example the brightness keeps adjusting. On one side of the field it turns bright and green and then it turns to a cooler green. It keeps doing this. Does anybody know what setting I have to change or if you have any recommended settings to keep it as bright as possible at all times? Thank you!
They do ADS-PRO in 98” UX, 110” UX. I HAVE seen ADS-PRO U8K 75”. It looked same as Samsung S95C (97% similar) like QD-OLED in bright room. Its insane. ALL the employees came OVER confused , saying it looked like QD-OLED. 😮😊

Great video 👍. Is the remote backlight? And why in Europe 🇪🇺 they're Vidaa not Google TV?
I have just purchased the 75 inch version of this tv and haven’t had too much time with it over the last day since I got it delivered and set up but so far positive results
I really wish to buy one 😕 Why here in Europe 🇪🇺 they make it vidaa instead of android or Google tv?
“Jen is not here for this unboxing but she’ll be back later”
Me subconsciously: skips to later
Nice review and Hisense are really upping their game so they can be judged on par with the big hitters. Will be very interesting to see where Hisense TVs sit in five years time comparison to Sony, LG and Samsung
Thanks!
Nice looking tv for the money. Just curious when you said you watch lots of YTTV. Not long ago you were pushing Direct TV and said you have been using it since college. Why the change?
Thanks for review
Hisense everywere but not the US uses vidaa as OS and that OS sucks
??? hisense are in canada usa and mexico!!!
@@francoispierretremblay4784 In the continent US yes. But outside of that hisense uses vidaa
I like it
Hello. Have you compared the new Bravia’s to the A95L? I’ve been saving for the 95L not sure if I want to spend $2700. Thank you
A95L is in a different world of TV's than this.
It’s worth it.
Do you feel Hisense or TCL are reliable enough and worth purchasing?
****Can anyone get a hold of Hisense canvas….. no one doing reviews!
$1099 at costco with a 5 year warranty. Any downsides?
Can we get a review between this and the QM7?
After watching this review, just picked the 55U7N up for $599. And personally, at that price, it’s a no brainer. Appreciate the recommendation!
Would you get this or last years u8k?
U8N or QM8 ?
Does anyone know if the 75" u7k is also and ADS panel?
Very good video and interessing when you and jen talk over the question which better tv more from this :)
Nice tv! Looking forward to your views on the Bravia 9.
How does this compare to the x90L!
U7N 85” / mini led or QLED ?
Heard the contrast is horrible because of the panel type? Can anyone confirm?
Nothing about this tv is horrible. It's on of the best performing Tvs, especially for the money.
Hello Brandon I’m a new subscriber to your channel. have you posted anywhere your recommended settings for the 75inch u7n. My only fear is buying one and not having the knowledge to calibrate. I’m 71 and calibrate a tv is not something I grew up with
This TV and size comes pre-calibrated. Only the 75 inch
You don't need to calibrate it. I listed some of the settings changes I do in the video and rtings has more of that stuff written. Just in movie or cinema mode is a good start
Is it better than u8k?
B ! Hi this U7N or the LGqned80 ¡?
Great video, greetings 🤔
U7n I made the mistake buying the qned had to send back to bestbye mine only went to 60 hz and the magic remote is god awful…. Just ordered the highsense and it’s 150 dollars cheaper n can go to 144 hz no brainer for me…
Was that guy your doppelgänger 😂
Probably not a good idea to watch a dark movie in the middle of the day! Unless your in a light controlled room.
That's not the point. Sometimes you will, and if that is the case...
I bought it when it first came out. Only thing is that when i mounted my soundbar under the tv using a bracket, the remote stopped working. Hisense sent me a new remote but it started working when i removed the soundbar.
Try to connect it via Bluetooth. The IR (line of sight) may not work with the sound bar there, but the Bluetooth should.
When will the Hisense u8n be released? Greetings
Hisense is the way 5o go!!! Sony is to greedy!!!
Disagree worse quality in every area except under cutting in price due to the Chinese government
Excellent review
Thank you!
Might be Dynamic contrast/active contrast. forget what its called exactly
??? turn off the light captor!!!
Does this tv have an app for Spectrum?
It should since it's running Google tv
Great Review!!!
This or TCL C755?
I need the answer also😢
Let’s go Brandon - FJB
Somewhere a GED tutor weeps…
Sad they don't make this in a 100 inch size.
@@Yoga_Tv_buying that's awesome. I'm hoping 2024 98UX is well reviewed this year.
@@Icipher4 IF Ben the Installer gets it, he WILL have Honest review. If u see Stop the FOMO, or the TV Shootout, or Andrew Robinson…. They are in Cohoots. Digital Trends n Andrew Robinson will put UX in--Film Maker Mode. To SHUT 100% processing/upscaling off , Sharpness- 0%, Warm tone, Motion Smooth will look SKIPPY. Last year Digital Trends even declared” i spoke to Andrew Robinson (to get the things line up) before launch the review”. This year UX will Absolutely look Match Flagship QD-OLED or surpass. If u notice anything iffy or skippy. I can bet money they will pull the same trick. I wish Brandon can do UX. HE n JEn are power couple. :)
LAST year 2023 UX has 400000:1 contrast, Sony x90L had 42000:1 . x93L had 72000:1. X95L had 200000:1
UX in 2023 was d ONLY LED--Color VOLUME Surpass S95C, n MATCH with A95L.
The BRIGHTER the TV is the MORE Color VOLUME /Density u need to make image 3D. (Thats why Highway bill board so bright but CLEAN vibrant in Sunny day). Black level is NOT relevant to viewing experience once its 98-99% black enough.
Still deciding What am I looking at the TV or the bird in leggings
The yoga outfit in every single video is cringe.
Why? Its the reason because i even watch the videos.
When is the 110UX coming out ? Hisense hasn’t said a word about this tv 🥴
Another informative, entertaining vid B!! Now how hard was that giving Jen the air-time she & your Subs. deserve & look at all the Up & Like-Votes.......easy peasy!!! More....Jen!
Hisense’s don’t last long don’t buy.
BS you dont know anything and you dot have a clue about that! Vizio , Hisense and TLC are way better and durable than sharp, sony and samsung!
Hello B and JENN😊😊
We are here and not because of TVs. 😂
Must be here for the “cake.” 🤓
It do be facts! 🎂 🎂🎂
I feel sad about buying the U7N model because in comparisons with Samsung and TCL, Hisense shows dry, tired colors, as if the content was illuminated by a sun after 5pm. It is definitely worth paying $300 more to have better colors.
75" ADS panel 😢😢😢
Nothing wrong with that type of panel.
