Your family is so chill and accepting. I love it. My family has always been the type to be like, you've got some friends that don't have anybody, invite them over. Someone needs some counseling, they can come to us. Someone hasn't had a good home cooked meal, they're invited to dinner. We are a community and that starts with family. Families like these DO raise great children that are accepting, loving, kind, and caring, and absolutely the world needs more of those type of people.

Absolutely love this and seeing your parents meet for the first time. You guys made me cry as usual lol. When you guys say goodbye to Mike's mom it makes me wish that I was this close to my mom 🥺 it hurts sometimes knowing when I go to finally date a guy and they want to meet my parents I'm going to have to say I would rather not and it's not because the don't accept me it's because my mom doesn't like the idea of the sex part and is a super germophobic and she doesn't educate herself and I have 3 other brothers who are gay and we have all tried to tell her but she doesn't get it and she's very judgemental and has to start drama with everyone.
I know a guy who has 3 gay brothers so you're not the only one. I never got a chance to meet their parents but apparently they were very excepting. It's too bad your mom can't be the same. Just remember it's her loss, not yours and your brothers'.

This brought tears to my eyes for a few reasons. PK, you are incredibly lucky to have such a close nit family where everyone is happy and you get to do all these great get together s. That made me happy that i teared up. But it also made me sad. As much as i love my parents, my father and i dont speak (has nothing to do with me being gay) and he is angry all the time. My mom, shes my rock, she has a lot of health problems and suffers from depression so happiness between us in few and far in between. My moms side of the family except for 2 cousins, have nothing to do with us because we curse a lot, were democrats and cause of moms depression. She didnt even tell her sister she had a stroke recently cause she ghosted mom over a year ago. We have not been to a get together with them in probably 7 years. So be extremely thankful every day for what you have. I'm very envious and jealous but also incredibly happy for you. You two deserve every bit of happiness together.

I remember meeting my husband's parent the first time. Just so you know they were devout Pentecostals. I loved his parents. They passed before we were able to get legally married so I never got the chance to call them mom and dad. I'm sure they would have loved that. His mother made it clear she only had one son-in-law and I wasn't it. One Christmas we sent his parents a card and I signed it Your non-son-in-law Tim. I understand she got a laugh out of if. There was always respect. I understood where she stood and why and for that I truly respected her.
