Crikey that really shows how the Newtonian is a pain in the neck to view through a lot of the time and means I would have to stand up a lot of the time. Which is why I far prefer Cassegrains (on an EQ mount where possible). Even with my friend Jon's LX90 8" ACF which is on the scope dolly, the problem with it being so high even on the lowest tripod setting means I have to stand up all the time to get to the eyepiece. So I'm building a high-ish wooden observing chair for use with his 'scope LOL

Since Cassegrains like SCT's have way shorter tube, eyepieces etc don't unbalance them as much as with long tube Newt's.
man i wish there whre good setup tutorials for this meade but no . only for the newer one 30 minutes about nothing
