This has a great message that everyone needs to not only hear, but also heed. We all need this song more than ever right now. Tim has always spoken his mind when it comes to things like this, which at times has gotten him in trouble, but he fights on anyway for his beliefs. And I, for one, love and admire him even more for taking a stand and sticking to it. I always love your reactions, but this time it was even more special. Your facial expressions say it all!
I appreciate that. Look, I have no idea if all of the guys in Home Free share the same opinion. It's highly unlikely they do in all cases but it seems like they all share the same opinion about what matters and you said it Michael. They share an opinion about their music. They choose the songs they cover and write their own material as well. As a group they decide on what they put out. They made a choice to remain true to the music and to themselves because you can't have honest music if you aren't saying something you truly believe. No one is that good of an actor. This is such a different sound than you usually hear from Home Free, but I think that works even more hopefully to get people to pay attention to the lyrics. This is something that everyone needs to hear and pay attention to. But what Tim said at the end is as important as what the song says. Thanks again for your reaction.

I got to hear this a couple of days ago and was blown away. The message is loud and clear. “Be good to each other.”Those 5 words say what we all need to hear.

Thanks for this, I always enjoy your reactions because you have such a deep and genuine appreciation for Home Free, and music in general (also your sense of humor slays me, so added bonus). Such a powerful song from these guys. I signed up to their patreon a day before they released it to patrons, have been listening to it at every opportunity. I love how easily they can go from their sillier fun stuff to something like this. I wish more people knew about them.
I thought you would like this! I saw Paul Cauthen doing this song live last year at the Tønder Festival in Denmark. He has an incredibly strong presence on stage, and I would urge anyone who can to go see him, and to listen to his music - there is truth behind it, in a way you don't see enough of. Home Free is usually not this dark (almost scary), but I love it when they are. And as Tim said: Be good to eachother!

Just a little back info....Home Free has been playing the original by Paul Cauthen as part of their concert walk-in music for awhile. Shows you just how conscious they are in messaging with their song choices. Usually, it's upbeat positive songs but then they throw a song like this in the mix that really makes a statement.
I’m usually not much of a commentator, but I felt compelled to say that I loved this song, the video and your reaction DramaSydETV. It all boils down to the choice of what we choose to focus on. We can choose to look at the negative and force people, ideas and everything in small boxes and categories that fit a predetermined idea we have, or we can choose to be positive and look at similarities and not limit our perspective to old ingrained ideas we have been taught that reflect our personal biases and prejudices. It’s all about what choices WE make

I cannot stop watching this video on their channel! When I heard it the first time, at the beginning (the intro percussion and tempo), I thought “Hmm! This is different”. I kept listening because I was curious. Then Tim came in with that low voice, then the people singing those lyrics, and then I was really hooked! I love this song and its very clear message. Oh, I loved how your finger “slipped”! Then I waited for that grin! I knew you would love this one, and I so appreciate how you keep reacting to their music. I’ve been here awhile, and I’m not going anywhere! What about that drum sound from Adam? I could’ve swore there was a real drum! He’s a beast of a beatboxer!!!

The moment I saw this cover I was hoping you would react to it. It gave me chills the first time I heard it. One thing that stuck out to me is that it’s one of I think 3 videos they aren’t smiling in. I thought it was a powerful choice that made the song resonate even more.

Home Free is just amazing altogether. They have a great message of love for one & all, which as Tim says we need in this country right now, a healing but also a call to actionto help end the things that divide us....just think of how strong we'd be as a nation if we could pull together and end all those things that we know plague our society. Hi Cheryl, late to reply, I know, but a few thoughts. In the past, radio plays were important to drive album sales. Streaming has knocked the bottom out of the album market, so radio doesn't really help. TH-cam and Spotify pay very little so the only way to make enough to support families is touring. Tim has said that the only reason to make videos is to create an audience for the live shows. Merchandise is also important, in fact there are some bands who live only on the merch proceeds, but again you need to tour to find new customers.
Hence the rise of Patreon, taking us back to the 18th century, where if you have the money you can buy access to the band and feed their kids. It also helps to finance the videos, which creates the market, etc etc
Sad but true, and it must be a dilemma for Austin, happy as never before but aware that leaving someone behind while you tour is very dangerous. Rob's wife has her own work, not sure about Adam's. Tim's wife Jenika and Adam's wife Sami work for the band, if not full time. This is a problem for all musicians apart from those at the very top of the tree - which often is just down to luck.

I loved your reaction...I was hoping you would watch this video today! In a first for me I had to watch your reaction twice. This song is definitely a little different for Home Free and contains some unexpected lyrics (if you’re not familiar with the song...I’d never heard it before). This was an amazing cover and amazing video. Consider how quickly they had to have come up with the concept, get the singing parts figured out, and then do the video. They busted their asses to do this for everyone.
