This is so disgusting. How could they do something so irresponsible? Unbelievable....they hurt the reputation of female players so badly. No wonder they did so badly if they 1. just started playing together as a team 2. Only one of them could play their main role 3. Only one of them was challenger
So so so sad to see this even if it's old. I am not surprised that there aren't many female pro players in games after something like this.

But if Girls were good at game then they would simply draft from challenger , it just shows that they are not so there is nobody to play with , the only ones which are "girls" in pro scene still have dick just pretend to be girls.

As much as I'd also love to see that. It's damn near impossible. They'd need to be atleast high rank challenger AND not a one trick pony. They'd also need to prove that they have an understanding of the game and it's integrity, as frankly you can get lucky to climb if you just play. From my knowledge, not many female challys are out there. The ones that are, aren't available or interested and/or not an otp or has a very small champ pool.

They were set up to fail. The way their team was assembled, even male players would struggle to go up against well established teams.
Would an all female team be able to compete at the highest level, given the same preparation as the male teams?
    Most likely.
But you'll be hardpressed to find enough female players with the drive and experience to do so.
The population of female players that play competetivly is just waaaaaay to small.

I was apart of an all female team that got sponsored but our leader with a silver player and our adc carry was a bronze player, they just had the looks and confidence to utilize talking on camera but realistically didn’t have the patience to keep it together. only two of us actually had diamond skills that wasn’t a support role. Our fill in ended up branching off because she got with a pro player and made her own team called “Siren” which they got publicly destroyed. A lot of really talented female players out there, they just aren’t “hot” or some thin Asian support girl with a squeaky voice. My problem was I was over weight and stuttered but dominate top and jungle and I think the reason good female players don’t get chances in good teams is lack of confidence in themselves to overcome verbal criticism.

    • @euqinemor

Keep in mind that the very few that do have the looks and can play at a high lvl, will just keep streaming because it pays more... like REALLY and dont want to stress about competitive play and being called this or that.
I tried to remember some of my own server but they all mostly retired like Selene Reis but there are some still active like Mayumi.
it's not lol but Apex legends, it's LuluLuvely, she is a Predator player (quivalent to challenger) that debuted at an invitational and solo killed Cloud9's pro CS team right in front of everyone and became famous to the point she straight up said that she would need to be champion on tournaments to earn more than she was just streaming her ranked games and even events sponsered by EA itself with her as a lead like once she did a hide and seek tournament with 100k as a prize that EA gave her to make any event she wanted, that's how popular she was.

Basing a team around attractiveness and not skill almost always ends in disaster. I believe everyone is special and all that matters is what's on the inside. So if I was creating an ESports team, I would turn down a bunch of "supermodel male/females".
Stupid stuff like that is why I quit Twitch. Ironic how a gaming streaming platform has many people who prefer "watching streamer sleep" or way worse than that than actually seeing you know...games!

All supports team can’t work. 4 supports picking a role they barely know and competing in pro plays…Basically suicide.
Taking all Women’s team was also a huge mistake, most Women’s I know play only or mostly support, some mid but the majority never touch harder, aggressive roles Like Top, Jungler or Adc.
As well picking only women’s drastically reduced her Pool of players available which is probably why She ended taking Diamond players.
If She picked men She probably would have been able to get 4 Challengers/Conquerors.

I doubt those were the best female players, just the most conventionally attractive ones. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being conventionally attractive, but it should not be used as a metric of your skill. The main girl is conventionally attractive, so it seems like she went full misogynist on this one and tried to please the male gaze rather than, y’know, actually putting together a skilled team a long period ahead of time so they actually stood a chance 😂

    • @Jannuary
      @Jannuary หลายเดือนก่อน +7

To be fair, there are very few players on the Russian server, and most of the good ones go to play on euw, because the queues there don’t last 30-60 minutes for high elo. while you are looking for a game in challenger ru, you can go cook something to eat, take a shower and stand in morgana’s Q. What I mean is that in gmt-chal there are simply no girls on our server. they might only be found in mt, and also only supports. The mt game level on the Russian server, by the way, is low diamond euw, again due to the lack of people. So the assumption about attractiveness is of course interesting, but in reality everything is much simpler, we simply do not have high elo players, and especially girls, because there are simply proportionally fewer of them. she gathered those she could find :D

@@ExtraDipson Bare in mind this was 2019 Riot, not 2024 Riot. Riot was dealing with allegations of sexism in the work place, so the team was simply a victim of Riot using them as a PR scapegoat to put on a public image of defending women. The guys should of known better and been a little aware of the political climate with the community at the time, if the devs didn't have a spotlight on them they wouldn't of cared, since this was a Russian team playing in the Russian league, something under normal circumstances Riot would of done nothing about, but if they did nothing, Games Journalists would of used it against them because of what was happening at Riot at the time, they needed the good PR to deflect.

The problem of sacrificing these girls is much greater then people realize. Women have internal compass of social pressure much greater then men do. Women suffer much more mentaly in situations of public pressure. This is well documented and studied in sociology. Therefore women care about social status in men much more then men do about women status. Conclusion is that their sacrifice could have came to the detriment of mental long term damage these young girls have endured. Just imagine being put in that chair no matter the gender its hard as hell, even for experienced well socialized older person, let alone young women that usually in that period of growing up actually care about public image above all else. I've said it before, and I'll say it every time, women aren't missing from the pro scene because none has ever been good enough. They're missing because every time one has been contacted by a scout, any interest was lost when they were revealed to be female. Why? Because pro teams live together, play together for hours at a time every day, and managers are worried a female addition will cause distraction and ruin the delicate balance of teamwork.

There are female players in couple teams, But the problem is that Men are better tan Women at the very most.
You can see there is a big gap men vs women on LoL and the good girls(High elo standards) are support, so How to make teams out of this? its just HARD
Like in Brazil, You see the Female highlights, most of them are trans woman and not cis woman. There was even Non Binary as highlight.
I don't even follow competitive anymore, i feel its waste of time and Unfun.
In Brazil they made something called "Cebolão"(Its like CBLOL= Campeonado Brasileiro de League of Legends) And the Fun thing is the fact its Pro players Vs Mono Champion Teams.

The skill gap between Challenger and Diamond is about as wide as that of Gold and Iron. Put an Gold player up against an Iron player, the Gold player would have twice the cs and 10/0 with tower destroyed by the 10 minute mark, with a 3rd of those K/Os from roaming other lanes after perfectly shoving waves into tower after owning their lane opponent (In all fairness a decent Bronze player can wipe the floor with Iron players, but will lose the match because 1 Bronze player can't carry 4 trolls in Iron - I know, I tried once). Yeah, that's how big the skill gap is and we're only speaking the difference between a single division as opposed to three here. I haven't seen this level of misguided "girlpower" showboating since the days of MLG and PMS Clan for Halo 3, 20 years ago and what happened then was exactly how you'd think it'd play out, not pretty.

5 support mains as a whole team, that's hilarious. XD Besides 4/5 being diamonds them only having supp mains was a severe handicap too... To be honest playing supp is probably the easiest role( as someone that plays every role). Second easiest is ADC as you are being babied whole game. Mid is in the middle(no pun intended lmao), top is slightly harder only because the lane is longer. Jungle is for sure the hardest and most versatile. If you can play multiple roles but also knows how to supp or jungle it's very usefull knowledge, as you can combine the knowledge of solo playing with being a supportive team player. Like a Midlaner that also know how to play supp is golden- Toplaner that plays jungle is also golden. People who only play one role tend to get severely tunnel visioned by their own personal bias, because they have no idea how the other roles work. It's like the saying "walk a mile in my shoes, then you will understand".
