Great video. Storm never really rolled great for me. But love to see all the videos of how they are made. Unfortunately the hyroad was a horrible fit for me. Gave mine to a youth bowler after drilling mine. He shot is high set the next week. Made me happy
Just watched a korean bowlingball facory type on yt, it was like automated and 2-3 guys making hundreds of balls. This american factory was like going back in time.
I was lucky enough to have a friend arrange a tour of Storm for me and my son a few years ago. Steve K was supposed to give the tour but he had Alex Hoskins give the tour instead. It was incredible. I saw the entire process on how a ball is made, the R & D behind them, marketing, and even saw the two lanes Storm uses that you see in all the videos. Just wish I could have tossed a couple of shots on those lanes.
@@VneedsSpeed haha nice. Yes I got a free one long time ago when my ElNinoXiT got split in two by the center after I started a game with a 5 bagger. Still mostly use Storm since though. Although that day was terrible. Never found a reaction like the ElNinoXiT since.
Out of the 10 bowling balls that I have nine of them or storms or Roto grips I enjoy the products versatility of the balls that I own are absolutely wonderful
Great Video. Awesome manufacturing process, not trying to be mean , but the General manager or Owner , or whoever he is in the black "storm" jacket could have hosted the entire video without the guy in Purple who just kept repeating the obvious points already made.
I have got 15 pounds 3 ounces of Roto Grip "Hyped", weighs like 16 pounds ball and working hard with my twisted wrist in standing position just like legend bowler Mark Roth always do that in his professional years, too.
I wish Storm didn't use PINK on the Hyped Solid Logo... who ever thought Pink would look good on that ball needs to rethink about that the next time. That would of looked so much better if it was a nice Bright Yellow, or a Bright Blue or a Sky Blue, Orange, or Gold too. Anything other that Pink for the Logo on the Hyped Solid would of looked so much better. Reason I say this is because forone I'm a guy and two, I like to match the logo outline color to my grip and thumb slug colors... I'll be damned if I'm putting Pink grip and thumb slug in that ball to match the Pink Hyped Logo.
Why would it get removed? He didn't cut out Flobowling's marking to represent it as his own. It is intact as released, with all copyright markings shown. They'll be happy it's being shared again and potentially driving more traffic to their websites/apps.
Based on the omega cruxes, crux primes and OG UFO’s in the background….. and Steve saying the omega was the “new release”…. This was filmed between Quarter 4 2019 and early March of 2020
could humans do all of that? yes. could robots do all of that? also yes. it's a good balance of robots for precision and humans because they need to eat. better to let the robots handle the polishing, rounding and engraving, cheaper to maintain humans for tasks like moving heavy bowling balls, filling molds and such. kind of weird the paint stage follows the sanding and polishing stage though.
Funny they did not show how they did the heavy cores and then the lighter core over it. I would think the odor from the materials would be toxic to the workers. I know if you do not find an expert at measuring snd drilling it can ruin a good ball. Always thought multicolored balls were ugly in my opinion.
You forgot the step where the USBC decertifies and bans your ball a week after the consumer purchases it. Yes, I'm bitter about my Phaze 4 which will now be a shelf piece.
Now I want another Hy-Road 🤣.
The ball they were pouring during the video was the Omega Crux! Proud Owner here. Beautiful ball with the Cinnamon fragrance.
Thank you I was trying to figure out what all it was
I will love to work in that factory. A dream come true.
Great video. Storm never really rolled great for me. But love to see all the videos of how they are made. Unfortunately the hyroad was a horrible fit for me. Gave mine to a youth bowler after drilling mine. He shot is high set the next week. Made me happy
You know that I do not own that company but I would buy these bowling balls
Just watched a korean bowlingball facory type on yt, it was like automated and 2-3 guys making hundreds of balls. This american factory was like going back in time.
The engraving process is better in this factory, too.
There's one from swag. Not a word spoken, pure sound and visuals.
Glad to see that they're using people instead of machines to make these phenomenal bowling balls.

Storm #1. Best balls. Best bags. Best towels. Best tape. Best backpacks. Best supports. Best shirts. Best bowlers. 💯
Username checks out, I still love my TraumaER (considering you know Storm made a ball with this name).

after watching this vid i can see that
Absolutely phenomenal video, I wanna see them make the nova
Wow amazing process. Guy has a PHD in bowling balls.
Out of the 10 bowling balls that I have nine of them or storms or Roto grips I enjoy the products versatility of the balls that I own are absolutely wonderful
The employees must hate having to listen to that music all day 😆

My dad said when he was a young boy setting up the pins was his first job, remember that monkey on the Flintstones cartoon
I miss my storm Hyroad it was a great bowling ball
Interesting wonder when the hardness check comes into play during this process.
3:25 this is where you can see the material they use that cracks 99.8% of the time.
Even in the UK, I know my Hy-Road passed through Boyds hands for it's final polish ;)
Bring back the spitfire fragrance!!!! It's the best
Or learn to not sniff your balls. 😂😂
Pain in the ass company. Was responsible for having my drivers deliver their raw materials. Unreasonable demands were an every day occurrence.
Awesome 😎
I don't bowl, but I would like to a tropical surge in rootbeer..

Lol
Huh? 15.3 pound ball is under 15 once you put holes in it. Will get lighter not heavier.
Who knew !!!
Why is the music so loud??? Otherwise, great video!
so this is how the production issues leading to banned products is done

New ball looks like a crux
Yeah it was omega crux and UFO. Obviously, this is not a new video lol.
Seeing a Roto-Grip UFO and the Storm Omega Crux on the production line makes me wonder how long ago this video was recorded. 😛
Yeah, I've seen this a while ago. but its still a good video 👍
He said the 11th anniversary of the hyroad. The hyroad came out in 2008. So that means 2019ish
The video isn't exactly new. Pretty sure this guy is ripping content from Flobowling and reposting it. Will probably get copyright stricken soon.
Why would it get removed? He didn't cut out Flobowling's marking to represent it as his own. It is intact as released, with all copyright markings shown. They'll be happy it's being shared again and potentially driving more traffic to their websites/apps.
When was this filmed? There are some discontinued balls shown.
Based on the omega cruxes, crux primes and OG UFO’s in the background….. and Steve saying the omega was the “new release”…. This was filmed between Quarter 4 2019 and early March of 2020
“Hyroad’s 11th birthday” confirms quarter 4 2019

Hy Road the Best
TFW YOUR RE-UPLOAD HAS 4X THE AMOUNT OF VIEWS THAN THE ORIGINAL POSTER. LOL
How would u even open a company like this up? 😂 like honestly, what came after the building? Definitely wasn’t the bowling balls 😂
That music is ridiculously annoying.
Big time.
I want to design a bowling ball with a name. I tried contacting Storm, but they refused :,(
7:00 UFO?
Yup.
My hy road from 2008 has lost it's scent so there's your number

don't put background music on
Little late, aren't you?
Music is very annoying can't hear the voices
You're a ball, hamplanet.
“A lot of defective bowling balls come from this plant” is what he meant to say
You forgot the step where the USBC decertifies and bans your ball a week after the consumer purchases it. Yes, I'm bitter about my Phaze 4 which will now be a shelf piece.
I guess we both stumbled upon this video after realize if our phase 4s can no longer be used in nationals 😭
It’s only banned from USBC national events, so there’s always that. Still see all 6 balls up and down the house at local leagues/tournaments.
Looks like a horrible place to work
Damn, that was boring! Sorry!
The gentleman seems very unimpressed and bland the entire video.
I definitely agree.
So?
