  • Hi Again!
This week’s video is another unboxing. This time, we’re unboxing a wire binding machine. Unbeknownst to me, there’s three kinds of binding machines: comb, coil, or wire. I ordered a wire one thinking it was a comb binder not knowing there was a difference. Before I returned it, I decided to try it out and woot! It is giving me exactly what I want. So I’m going to keep it and use it to bind my books and make workbooks for the kids.
You can order one by clicking on the affiliate link below:

Another cool thing about this binder is it came with 100 wire spines! That’s incredible and gives me plenty of material to go wire binding crazy.
If you like the book I featured in this video, check it out on my Etsy shop! The link is right below:

    Thanks for watching!

You hang the binding wire on the little hooks on the front and then you can place your pages easier into the wire. Great video.

This video was great!! I am looking at these types of wire binding machines because it seems that they (potentially) can work well for making discbound notebooks (discs instead of wire). My question is: Is it possible to turn on/off the specific punchers so that you get less holes in the paper? I know some of these machines you can select or de-select the holes so you can choose the number of holes being punched.

Yes! There’s a little lever on the side that lets you adjust the number of holes; it adjusts for three sizes: A5 (15 holes), Letter Size (19 holes), or A4 (34 holes). Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

Have u tried punching into chipboard? If so how thick can i cut (ie: 70pt)???

Hello, I have 22pt chipboard and was able to cut 3 boards with ease. Adding the 4th board (est .88pt) had a little tension on the machine. Hope this helps!

OMG read the directions first. You are supposed to put the metal thing down on the machine THEN put your papers into it. I hope you are not teaching our children.lol
