I am glad your continuing this one cos with the way you play and explain, makes it enjoyable to watch since a pirate playthrough just isn't something i like playing AS, but since its something different then what i play, its enjoyable to watch.
It always felt weird to me that abandoned stations have no chance of things going missing. I'd think there would be a chance of someone coming and stealing things from you.
I agree its strange that its perfectly safe, but realistically it would be super easy to hide things in space, like just fly up to any LaGrange point asteroid and stash stuff in the crater of the asteroid and unless someone saw you flying up to it, pretty much nobody is going to find it. Or just land on any geologically stable planet and dump stuff on the surface. My point is while its strange that abandoned stations are perfectly safe storing things in space for a space faring fleet would be insanely easy to do and hide it well.
Even though the whole point is to activate the jump drive thingy that you've already installed, my little lore-loving heart broke a little when you said that you weren't gonna read any of the Academy quest things. I really like that little quest chain. Hope you get to explore the Spooky Zone, I'm *very* excited by that :D
It's the right decision. That chain has some fun moments but it is a huge time sink that could use some patching to make it less grind-y, ad people don't need to see it again.
I got to thinking about some of the Kenshi series you used to make. I can't believe it's been years since most of those. Hopefully Kenshi 2 is good for content, so we can get more of that action.
This makes me want to play the game again. But I generally have long re-learning curve on how to play and how to play well. I struggle the most in the early game.
This game is actually pretty easy to learn in terms of mechanics. The difficult part is learning what ships, weapons and fleet combinations are effective, which is easily done with trial and error experience.
@@Rhadamant I have two issues one Middle aged gamer that takes a while to learn combat again. The second is how to effectively play early game. Making money, not taking on to much and growing the fleet correctly.
Would be useful if you're going exploring in deep space to get materials with you and randomly build comm relays. High chances you get missions near you, like that ship graveyard is guaranteed to get some. PS: yeah, I know it's already streamed, perhaps for other players.
Helpful for other players, sure. Also its a little tricky to get transplutonics to build comms when I only can use salvage, there's not a lot of transplutonics to salvage normally unless you get lucky with a mining station.
4:55 Strongly disagree on that one. It's certainly not worth a story point, but Mercury's great, especially in the early game. For the low cost of just 2 DP you can get 3 extended Atropos torp racks. And when you later find ECCM bp, that thing becomes even deadlier.
@@Rhadamant Using a shuttle for combat is hardly meta, and it's usually a lot easier to outfit small ships from salvage than bigger ones. I was mostly commenting for people new to the game, too, so they don't just disregard a ship because it appears weak at first glance, be it Mercury, Venture or other civilian and civilian-like ships.
Is Hull Restoration still broken? I remember it triggered so often it was fixing your ships so often you could pick up any derelict no matter how many d mods it had.
These aren't even my rules! This scenario was proposed by a member of my community ( Agro ) and then voted on by you guys. I just follow the rules that I was given.
The Wayfarers are not what I'd call garbage ships, if you're running a smuggling fleet they are actually quite good, top of the line light combat:ish freighter, but I like them more for their storage capacity and small sensor profile than anything they bring to a fight. Then again for your run they are probably quite bad.
Thought it weird you started in system with empty station to use but didn't. Especially after you mentioned a few minutes later you need to find a station to set up you ships. Second episode and look where you head first thing lol Done similar playthrough in past and highly recommend. Hard but really teaches you loadout tricks and such per limited scavenged gear. But I added another rule 'Able to buy 1 mod, per level' because else no mod you need ReALLY REALLY slows down play on an epic level.
A shame you locked this one behind your sub on Twitch since i was gonna watch the entire thing as i am really enjoying this. Guess ill keep watching it on youtube lol.
My Twitch VODs are sub only because much of my income is from TH-cam and if I didn't do that I may quickly find myself unable to survive as a content creator losing out on ad revenue. Yes, I get it, ads suck, but without them I absolutely could not do this as a full time job.
You explain things really well. I love your talking. It's very smooth and cool to watch. Thank you for your great content ! :)
Glad you enjoy it!

Very nice finds. The fleet is looking a whole lot better now.
Thanks 👍

Thank you for all the epic content!!!

I've slowly read through the jump drive quest line twice before in series that are up on TH-cam so if you desire the story its available

@@Rhadamant It was more a gut reaction than anything reasonable.
When I first picked up this game last year, I was like "how am I supposed to survive this?" And then Rhadamant says "hold my puppies..."
Haha =P
I have a feeling Thirdshift is from a corpo world. Thanks for the video.
Could be!

I get asked about that often, a new series may be coming soon for Kenshi but its up to my patrons
Hell yeah brother!
Hell yeah!
So happy star sector is back. 🎉

Trying to build any sort of 'meta' fleet on salvage alone, like mass tempests or wolfpacks or whatever is not workable on salvage only.

Yarrr be matey!

Its not broken quite like that, but it is highly effective
