So happy to see this interview again. I remember staying up late to watch it on MTV's "London Calling" on a Sunday night. It's hard to imagine now, but being able to see videos and interviews of artists like Siouxise in the pre-Web days was a rare treat.
She's definitely the artist/singer of my life, mainly because of her personality, she was always so natural, so strong... I wish I could be a close friend of her in London back then.

She is incredibly beautiful and looks and singing wise in my mind a punk rocker version of grace slick and I’m saying this because shamefully I shoplifted siouxsie and the banshees the scream album in 1978 after reading a review of it in creem magazine stating it sounding quasi psychedelic...and sure enough it sounds like Amon dull 2 ...Jefferson airplane...meets total Sex Pistols...listen ? You can hear...
She gave up smoking in 1987. She went back in 1993. She quit in 2003...then got asthma, bronchitis, and sinus infections, right afterwards; was put on medications, given steroids, gained weight, had to delay The Creatures 2004 Tour due to sinus surgery, and performed The Dreamshow concert/DVD in 2004...in 2005, started to smoke a little, found that all of her symptoms improved, then was told by a physician that she is part of a small group of ex-smokers who have adverse reactions to lack of nicotine in their system; so must, in some way, consume nicotine, to fend off terrible breathing problems, which affects her voice. She seems to be managing it, now. Her 2015 single (from the Hannibal TV series), "Love Crime", displays the classic Sioux voice, slightly aged.

I believe Billy Idol was one of the guitarists who played in the Banshees at one time shortly before forming his own band "Generation X". I'm not 100% sure about this, but I am positive that he was a part Siouxie and the Banshees for a short time as well as a part of the Bromely Contingent.
God how much i love Siouxsie. I hate how everybody thinks she just acts lika a Diva, she's just very intelligent.
I don't know how smart she is, but she absolutely comes off as a diva to me. I can hardly stand to watch her interviews. This one isn't too bad...

Aside from Robert Smith, all of the Banshee guitarists were Johns... Was it a curse?
