I love playing as mob cob because he’s more functional at medium to longer ranges and it way easier to pick people off compared to the default character. The penetration is useless though and I wish that it at least penetrated all star decoys, that would give the ability a slight upgrade.

This is the kind of varient where I really don't understand why the concept made it into the game. It's such an obvious dud of concept.
Ik he's still decent but he feels bad to me because he really doesn't have much of a purpose.
Honestly the fact that his ammo efficiency is better (because he has the same amount of ammo as stock but does more damage per shot) is probably a better upside than the pierce.

I actually think his clip does more total damage and he has better range and damage falloff but less dps cause he shoots slower. Just use a different upgrade instead of the penetration

Worse is meh. His gimmick is ignored, he deals more damage, has less attack speed. Overall higher dps. He is more accurate. Yes the gimmick is irrelevant, but he is based on if you like him better or worse than corn. They're both almost the same, just faster or slower- lower or less damage

But yeah I would 100% agree mastering mob cob his penetration is really mid especially that it doesn't work on shields and armor which imo would make it more usable
But overall he still is a pretty decent varient
