Thank you so much for this video! I'm literally watching it again to motivate myself!! In a future video, could you talk about how you got your letters of rec please? Like how did you choose who to ask, how you asked, and how you established your relationship with the writer. That's the part of the application I'm most worried about 🥺Thank you so much!
I’m a freshman in college & I’m just registering for classes in college! I also think I’d be pursuing a biology degree, so if possible can you please make a video detailing the classes you took each year? THANK YOU in advance if you decide to make a video, if not that’s okay because your videosss are SOO HELPFUL! THANK YOU ✨
Hi! Thank you for your comment 💓Every university has different classes they require for Biology majors, and I spoke with my academic advisor at UCR to help make my schedules. I also spoke with the premed advising office on campus to find specific classes needed to apply to medical school. Hope this helps!
Hi! I didn’t have a strict day-by-day MCAT schedule. I tried to go through one Kaplan book per week (certain books would take more time, others would take less - it all depended on my background in the subject ) and I also did practice khan academy questions during that time. After finishing content review, I did the AAMC practice test bundle.
Thanks for the awesome info! Quick question, other than the introductory Biol, chem, ochem, physics, psychology series do you have any other recommendation for UCR courses that may help with the MCAT. I was thinking about Biol102 (genetics) and BCH100 but I may not be able to take it before my MCAT date? Also how important is it to take sociology before the MCAT. I don't think I will have room to take it before then. Thanks in advance for your help!!!
Hi! Thanks for your comment. I HIGHLY recommend taking BCH 100 and the OChem series before your MCAT. Although Biol 102 will help, I do not feel it is a necessary class to take before studying for this exam. I did not take the last course in the general Physics series or comprehensive Sociology or Psych courses in college before studying for this exam. Hope this helps!
Hi Leandra! Thanks so much for the video! It was super helpful! I was wondering if you could outline which courses you felt were necessary for performing well on the MCAT and any tips you have to successfully being able to complete most of these requirements before you took the MCAT. Thanks again for your help!
Sabah Elias Hi! Thanks for your comment. I recommend taking a Biochemistry course and the entire Ochem series before studying for the MCAT. In terms of the timeline for completing these classes, it really depends on when you want to apply to medical school. I talked to my academic advisor to help plan my schedule. Hope this helps!
thank you so much for this video! generally, what did you put on your application for med school (like what activities did you include)? Also, how did you prepare for interviews and what questions are most frequently asked for med school interviews? Once again, congratulations for your amazing achievements! Thank you so much!
I'm an incoming freshman at a Community college....I'm sooo confused about how to take all Premed classes, my major classes, some general education classes for transfer. Many people say to not take prerequisites at a Community college but at the same time I have to take the mcat my Junior Year! It's all sooo confusing! I'm wondering if I should just quit my dream and do something easy.
Hi! Thank you for commenting! Taking classes and fulfilling all the prereqs is difficult, but all your hard work will be worth it in the end when you achieve your dream :) I don't have any experience with community college courses, but I would suggest researching if med schools will accept the units. Also, please don't feel pressured to take the MCAT at a certain time, especially since you're going to be a freshman. See how you feel and take it when you're ready!
Congratulations on your score! How long would you say is an ideal time to set aside for content review and practice tests? I am planning to do about 2 months of reading and 1.5-2 months of practice questions and tests.
Thank you! I studied for a total of 2.5 months. That amount of time was good for me, but everyone is different! Your study schedule sounds good to me :)
I had enough credits from my previous classes to take the course at the end of my sophomore year. There were only a few sophomores in the class but it’s doable! Talking to your academic advisor to plan out your classes will help.
Great video!! If you took your MCAT during the summer of your sophomore year, does that mean you weren’t exposed to all of the information you needed to know for the MCAT? Did you learn most of the content yourself?
Thank you! I took the entire Ochem series and Biochem 100 before studying for the MCAT. Those are the classes I highly recommend students take before studying for this exam. I did not take the last course in the general Physics series or comprehensive Psych/Soc courses in college before studying. Hope this helps!
Hi! Thanks for commenting. I think it all depends on your personal goals/target score. I would suggest taking AAMC exams when you feel fully confident and are completely finished with content review. I took those at the very end to simulate the actual test day.
Such a smartie!! Proud of you 🤩🥰
What a queen! You killed it and I am so happy all your hard work has paid off! ❤️

Hey, thank you for making this video! I’m about to start studying for my MCAT soon and this was very useful

Very smart girl 😍
a kind person
That’s amazing!!!!! How long did you study for a day on average? :)
Hi! I don’t remember the exact details, but i think I studied from 8-5pm most days with lots of short breaks during the day
Congratulations on your score! How long would you say is an ideal time to set aside for content review and practice tests? I am planning to do about 2 months of reading and 1.5-2 months of practice questions and tests.

You said that you took Biochem before the MCAT but at UCR that's a junior level course. How did you take it in Sophmore year before you took the mcat?

Hi please how legit is 98th percentile
98% percentile means that she scored higher than 98% of other test takers taking the same test. Pretty legit.
If I pass the MCAT would you accept my invitation for a date?
Lolll
No uworld?
j dean No, I did not use uworld.
At what score would u recommend I transition from 3rd party FL to AAMC exams?
