Very beautiful. Did you put the aggregate yourself in the concrete or ordered it in the mix or was it part of the normal mix in the concrete already. I don't know what size or color aggregate do they put in concrete in Toronto where I am
Hi guy, here from Spain, I follow your videos, I work with concrete too, and I want to ask you how much sugar do you put in the water for washing rhe concrete? And how much time do you wait for washing it, sorry for my bad English, good job.
Hey mate, was that a normal garden hose washing off pebble? Or was there a pump on other end? Reason I'm asking is because I could hear a pump or something in the background while he was washing off and it looks like he had awesome pressure.
Sugar slows the chemical reaction in the cement. Concrete truck drivers use it as a truck when they get held up to buy time before it goes off in the bowl
Ninja can you give me some advice on how I can fix a cold edge??first 20cubic shows up 80slump next 20 shows up at 120slump,expansion joint was too far to cut dry concrete back to so I went ahead and maggied new into old thinking I'd be swt, ruggered it had lunch come wash off time it just blew itself apart so now maybe sawcutting tmrw and repour any ideas??
ova lē fia poko Good question bro we have the same problem today and lawrence likes to cut the old concrete in Australia line and then pour the new concrete up to the old concrete and when you are putting sugar on it don’t sugar the new bit wait until it is dry like the other side . Then hopefully when you wash off you might just have to wait a little bit to wash the next bit off . It is a tricky thing to fix and we all have the same problem so just do your best 👍🤙🏻
You can’t wash off exposed to late only to early. If your ever in doubt leave that area as long as possible wash it shallow and even it up with acid the next day. You can always acid wash to finish it later you cant fix blow outs. Once it’s to deep you have to rip up and repour.
Good to see concreters who are passionate unlike some who can't get passed 9am without a bottle of vodka and some meth who are handicapped and have aspergers syndrome
I’m doing my front path in a week or two here in the UK and I’ve been watching through your videos. This one is great as I’m going to have a go at doing exposed gravel. Would I need to spray sugar and water on it? Or is this just when the temp is hot?
Great job mate, what do you use for mbt? What brand? And how long did you wait to wash off after pour finished? Cheers ninja
Ashleigh Pollard we just used sugar and water and we waited about an hour and a half before we washed it off . 👍

Awesome work ninja .
How long do you leave the sugar on before spraying it with the pressure water.
Thanks .
Nick.

Raul Higuera Hey mate you can put 1 kg of sugar to20 L of water 👌
Nice work for sure... Q: why didn't you put any score joints in the driveway? Thanks!
What ratio of sugar to water do you use? We pay 90 bucks for a 20 litre drumb and it covers about 70-80 squares with a good coating thanks mate

Ian Smith It’s like a water filter not a pressure washer but it does give you some sort of pressure .
@@concreteninja nice. Thanks mate.
When is "right time " to apply the sugar
What's the size of the aggregate of the concrete ya using?
what the reason for adding the sugar to the finish ....

alejandro olmedo it was about 28° maybe 30°
Good job👍
andy romero 🤙🏻
Be good to know how long between the sugar going on and the hosing off.
90minutes
Nice
Excelente 😁👍
what does sugaring mean?
Richard Dempsey it means you put sugar in water on top of the concrete at the right time and you can wash it off later and leave the rocks behind
