@@pansepot1490 Are things really getting worse, though? (Even confining ourselves to America) The younger generations aren't buying fundamentalist religion anymore; more and more are turning away from religion and Christianity in particular. Many of the churches around here are starting to shut down (I've seen six in the past couple of years), and when I drive by the churches around here on a Sunday morning, I see that most of their attendees are Boomers who will be gone in another decade or so.
What I DO see is that the fundies have gotten very loud of late, largely thanks to MAGA. They definitely pose an existential threat, so, I guess that's one argument FOR things getting worse. But they are on the way out, hence their kicking and screaming LOUDLY as they shuffle off to the grave. A LOT rides on this November's election. Things WILL be arguably worse if Trump/MAGA scores a win; OTOH, if they get rejected, things should start to head in a better direction.

Religion tried to go scientific when putting creationism in schools, they made all sorts of false scientific claims. But that fight is over. They don't make arguments, they take power. That's why I see this counter-apologetics style of atheism as passed its prime. I prefer atheists like the Friendly atheist. Amusingly, one of the earliest documented English versions (in a 1639 book of proverbs) is "the pot calls the pan burnt-arse" :) As a Brit I'm 100% in favour of returning to that one if the word "black" makes folk uncomfortable?

I'm learning that if someone says they're an atheist that usually indicates that they are intelligent and thoughtful, but if they are a leftist atheist, then the leftism forms a functional substitute for religion for them, complete with all it's own dogmas based on identity politics, minority issue worship and other such delusions. Leftist atheists are just like fundamentalist evangelical christian groups like the Born-Again Christians, which is massively ironic, betraying all the same in-group dynamics christian cults use.

As an atheist, I state the atheist position this way: The most unlikely answer of all to the great questions of existence is one whose central concept ("god/gods") has no understood or agreed meaning among the untold billions throughout history who have claimed god beliefs; whose untold thousands of iterations are so improbable, so wildly contradictory, and so equally without evidence, that none can be believed; and one that offers no consistency or predictability whatsoever in answer to ANYTHING.

Did you catch the Dr. Kill Jesus schmuck vs . Ammon hillman bebate , I told kipp before hand , that's not Jesus in the new testament . Preach to me only of christ crucified . So I point out to dumbass that adelphoi in strongs concordance and anti christ are exactly the same definition pretty much , point out Paul said that's not Jesus running around in the streets naked at 4 am . Yashua , who's listed as a eunuch in Isaiah, one of Jacob's four Eunuchs, it actually lists yasharel ,yahudah, Yisrael and yashua as eunuchs . Explain to him itsays yashua worshipped helios the devil in garsanthamum , while his adelphoi disciples to him molesting another boy , Eunuchs that wanna turn you into a Eunuch. Jesus smashed a rock over en'ch ( hilarious hillman on his Enoch presentation is saying en'ch thae whole time , who's en' ch that who Jesus smashed a rock over er his head, Cain the antichrist is most of the new testament . And kipp can't put it together , that's en'ch the antichrist who Jesus brought back from the dead because Mary told him to. That renamed yashua. His adelphoi disciples knew this . Hence why you got Paul saying I have never met Jesus. Son of man is station of moloch . That's why there were 18 people at that time calling themselves son of man . Then I admitted yes I do have 2 daughters named sas and Molly. Two drugs . I thought Ammon won the debate . I think I actually won the debate against kipp . Kipps such a snob , what was it kipps like brahhaha are you seriously citing strongs concordance . Yes. You know as well as I do they don't want people to know about the adelphoi , they got careers on mocking Jesus and that's not even Jesus. It is at the cruxifiction . Then why didnt the two thieves recognize jesus , because he hadnt been there in 20 years, look Mary its your son . I can back up everything I'm saying . Preach to me only of christ crucified . Hence the term . The Roman's even told you a foreigner was crucified with2 local thieves who didn't recognize him . Yeshua was/is married to mary magdalene . That's why Peter called him Rabbi.
