wow this was so beautifull, i can't even explain in words. this has made me feel like life is worth living and there is good things and people. such a big difference, one small moment, one small song can impact someone.
It's New Year's Eve 2020. You sit on your sofa as the family enjoys setting up the food and champagne for the celebration. You look back at all the horrible things that happened this year. You look back at how it broke you, tested you, and maybe someone you know didn't even make it this far. A minute before the countdown and you decide to look out your window to watch some fireworks, if there are any. As you look up the sky, you hear this song and see letters in the sky. It was the credits scene for 2020 and it's all over.
This song reminded me my high school graduation. I wasn't a kid anymore, all the friends, people I met and shared memories will become strangers, because in the end, the path I chose for myself was different from what my friends chose. They mostly chose foreign language related departments, I went for Visual Communication Design department, because I had talent in drawing and storytelling as well as a computer art junkie (3D modelling etc.). Now, I just see their lives on Instagram. They all seem happy and occasionally meet up etc. I haven't seen my old best friends for years now. One is now an English teacher on the otherside of the country, the other one simply appears at random cities. One of them got married and became a father recently and all that. They moved on with their lives, while I feel like I am stuck in the mud. This song has huge part in my early teens, as those years were special internet years for me (y'know when Caramelldansen became a meme before its resurrection a few years later) circa 2006-2008ish. Good times.
I wasnt around yet when the original came out, but I like the melody. You made it a lot more emotional great work. The feeling is akin to the ending of Angel Beats!

And I was so stupid to not notice it was caramelldansen slow piano version .. -___- now Im crying(literally!) coz of happiness.. (I fell inlove with this song) ♥ ... If only you were able to bring them out of the house in time. Instead, you were brought out by a medic. Hours after the funeral, you can’t take the sadness so you sneak off to you and your friends favorite place to hangout. It was on the edge of a cliff. It used to be a little more solid but now it was crumbling. You sit on the edge of it. You see the beautiful sunset in the distance. It started to hide for the night and you close your eyes. But then you hear something. You look up and see your friend. They’re glowing. You start to cry. You are so surprised that you can’t speak. They hug you and you hug them back. “I’m so sorry..” you whisper to your friend. “Don’t be. I love you.” You feel them kiss you and then, they disappear. You smile as you cry. You had a crush on them for years. But now, you felt like a peace of there soul, was now a part of yours. You watch as the sun finished setting and you go back home. Under your breath you mutter “I love you too.”
