I met my present wife in 1981 and in 1990 we married , both for the second time, and this is THE SONG we danced to all night long. I am now her caregiver as she has Alzheimers. She is non-verbal at this point, but when I put on the tunes she communicates to me with her beautiful eyes. She knows...... I cried this entire reaction, yes Marines do cry, Thanks BR

Ohhh, BR. Well,, that story made me cry for both of you! I’m so very sorry, that this scourge, of a disease has invaded your joy! I’m glad, this song, from Boz, is a way of communicating between you and your loving wife. It’s said the eyes are the windows to our souls, and wonderful music can be soothing to the spirit. Stay Well, Sir.

Boz Scaggs is another example of Blue Eyed Soul. I love this concert as he sings all of his hits throughout this concert. 'Look What You've Done to Me' was one of Scaggs' biggest hits from the Urban Cowboy soundtrack (1980)

As a sax player, I have to say that up until you made the analogy, I never would have made the connection, but once you did it is just clicked. Yep, you nailed it. His voice like a smooth, mellow saxophone.

Jack Nicholson noted, in his hey day, that whenever he entertained a woman he always had Boz Scaggs music playing in the back ground. It worked for him. When Boz sings it's like butter. So smooth. He went to high school with Steve Miller and they started their first band together then. He is a prolific songwriter and seeing him in concert is a treat. Please keep exploring this rabbit hole as there are many more treasures to discover. And the two ladies at the end, Barbara and Monet, were quite the surprise.

Boz Scaggs is a legend. One of a kind with his unique one of a kind sound. Really liking your showing your viewers who might not have been familiar with them how great talent like Billy Joel, Bonnie Raitt, and Boz Scaggs are. Chances are, if they didn't know them and weren't fans before, they are now. Your reactions don't exactly hurt that. Great as always. Thank you.

"We're All Alone" is my favorite Boz Scaggs song. Which had two amazing versions, Boz's and Rita Coolidge at around the same time in 1977, but was originally recorded by Frankie Valli in 1976. I love Boz's version the most, the string arrangement alone on the studio recording is what makes the song! Add his smooth vocals that climb to amazing heights...it's chef's kiss!

Again... Another no name that just came out of nowhere, in the mid 70s.
    " Ledo Shuffle." Was one of his early Pop tunes, but the piece that brought him to the forefront was the song;
" Dirty Lowdown. " That is my number One Bozz Scaggs tune. "Look what you've done to me, is my second favorite. This song holds a special place in my heart, as one of those I used to hear on late night radio in the dead of winter. Laying in bed with the winter winds howling outside, rattling the windows in the frame, keeping warm inside listening to the sounds of Boz in my darkened room, lighted only by the stereo dial and stereo components lighting up the room.

This soulful tune is an ethereal connection I had to a great love of my life, who died in 1993. This song always lifts me back to those special moments. For me, it is a melancholy sojourn to memories of wonderful days and magical nights.

Boz is always great ballades like "We're All Alone", "“What’s New”", "We Were Always Sweethearts". he's just classy and smooth songs like "JoJo" and "Lowdown" really well known but my fave is the rocker "Breakdown Dead Ahead"... he's just has that jazzy class in everything he does.
btw... you know he was in Steve Miller's band in the late 60's.

If you’re talking about lowdown he performed it on this concert,a tribute to Boz Scaggs greatest hits in 2004. You should check it out at some point. If I remember right the backup singers on the album didn’t do the solo at the end like this, I believe this was Boz giving them the spotlight because he probably heard them singing it in practice and loved it.

Boz Scaggs covers 40 years of music here in the US starting with Steve Miller Band and striking out on his own.His work includes work with Booker T & the MGs including Steve Cropper formed as the house band of Stax Records, providing backing music for numerous singers, including Wilson Pickett and Otis Redding His first two albums go back to 1969 and 70 and were just titled Boz Scaggs, and his Slow Dancer were early albums. He left the US for some tours in England and around the area and came back and releases Silk Degrees and this song.
"Slowdancer" is a real hit from one of his early albums but here is alive version a few years back.

He has such a great voice. One of my favorite songs of his. His song Harbor Lights is also one of my favorites. He has so many great songs. Very easy to get lost in his music.

IKR? That final vocal part out of nowhere??!? There was a time in the 70s when there was a LOT of crossover between genres, with wildly varied results. This was one of the good ones!

I'm a little late to the party but gotta say, perfect analogy explained perfectly. Boz Scaggs voice = saxophone. Beautifully on point! And may I add the sax when played right has a sound that feels like it's being pulled from the soul. I say pulled because it has a raw, unpolished sincerity to it..

Love Boz, he's great in concert. Listen Britt. His classic LOWDOWN at this concert is impeccable!

Girl!, “ His voice is the sax” nailed that one! His music was such a part of my youth, being a child of the 70’s. You would have fit right in! This version was superior!

HAHA! As always, loved your reaction! I've never heard this song, so I watched for the first time. Loved your reaction when Barbara and Monea (sp), came on at the end. I loved it so much, that I watched that part 4 times!!! OKAY!! Now 5 times!!! Take care!

😢😢I enjoyed your reaction SO much!! It's one of the best live performances I've ever enjoyed...and I couldn't wait for your reaction to the very end and the duo of beautiful voices just blowing your mind!! Awesome 😎 This has been on my playlist years!!. I recall your reaction to his song "LOWDOWN" and your fixation on the album cover 😂😂 "Why are her fingers crossed?!?". I highly recommend his song "We're All Alone" which is another smooth musical vibe. Your reaction persona has blossomed in the best of ways..you have me cracking up ALOT. ..And laughter is great for the soul, PEACE atcha Ms Britt-Brat!!

This song was written by Boz and David Foster in one evening and they fedex the demo to the movie studio as this song was written for the Urban Cowboy soundtrack with John Travolta.

"Fifth wedding?" Yikes. Interestingly, this song was used in the film, Urban Cowboy with John Travolta. The song played as the love song between Travolta and his side girl when he was separated from his wife. So, I dunno about this being a wedding song. :p

Boz Scaggs songs are timeless. Even many years later, they evoke such emotions that songs of today can’t match. Sultry and soulful. His voice now still powerful. Give a listen to these songs when they were first performed too. Silky smooth…unforgettable. You can understand why he was a superstar and a legend, then and now. Love your reaction, especially to older music. ❤️
