Yes there were drops. Yes there were pressures. We can’t avoid the other side of the coin though. A lot of those drops had poor ball placement. A lot of those pressures were due to Deshaun holding onto the ball too long. Yes the receivers can play better. The line can block better. Stefanski can call the game better. But it is getting more and more difficult to ignore the fact Deshaun has yet to look as good as Flacco, Baker, Jacoby, hell maybe even Keenum in his 13 games as QB1 so far.
Not ready to panic, it’s only week one, but the offensive performance was completely unacceptable, they better be ready for Jacksonville. But I will still ride with THEM DAWGS🐾🐶🏈🐶
We need our starting o-line back, DW4 didn’t look good but he also got buried by the Cowboys pass rush. Some of the play calling on offense too didn’t feel like a Stefanski called game to me, I’m not saying Dorsey is calling plays, but it sure didn’t feel like Kevin was. Bottom line it’s just one week. It doesn’t feel good, but it also doesn’t mean the season is over and this team is garbage. Hopefully this is a spring board into the Jax game. Still walked away pretty frustrated though & this is why I’m confused why we didn’t play any starters in a single preseason game… #OptimisticBrownsClub
Horrible game plan. You can't attempt 45 passes with both of your starting tackles out and only run the ball 14 times and expect a successful outcome. Especially when it's your quarterbacks first game back since shoulder surgery.
Well to play devils advocate, they were trailing the whole game. You don’t run when doing so. Also probably wanted to try and get Watson in a rhythm of some sort
We knew the oline was aging out and way overrated by mainstream commentators. Still riding on their reputation from 4 years ago. Nothing surprising there. What IS surprising is that the offensive game plan didn't take that fact into account. Stef has a proven history of being able to work around these problems before and generally is one of the better game planners in the league, so it's puzzling. My personal speculation is that Stef let Dorsey take the reins for the offensive game plan this week. Kind of a prove it moment for the new OC. It was awful and I don't expect that to happen again. Watson was bad, but it did look more like "week 1 in a new offense with no preseason bad" (same with Cousins) than a "he's cooked" bad. Jury is still out on that but Watson is clearly having processing/mental issues. I'm incredibly scared that Watson is the next Carson Wentz. That's looking more and more probable.
Browns played a great defense, lost. The Sweetheart Ravens played a great defense, lost. Atlanta? Not 1 td against them, really Pittsburgh? It's only 1 game. If this continues after 3rd or 4th game, then I'll start to worry. It's 17 games people, Browns don't want to lose like that again, it's early👍
Lmao, gotta love loser Cleveland fans that let Pittsburgh live rent free in their heads. Keep celebrating mediocrity while ripping other teams for being mediocre! Damn, finished 2nd and lost by 31 in a wildcard game, let’s throw a parade.stfu
You made the playoffs last year and you’re supposed to be a contender this year because of that. I know it’s week 1 and how you play in week 1 doesn’t make a season. But right now you look like you’re starting from the same point the panthers are. I think it’s going to be a struggle on offense all year. We have no electric players on offense
Moore is not a good receiver that was on Moore good receivers react to the ball I watched plenty of football good receivers don’t stand in one place at stretch out your arms out in middle of the field Thrash is a playmaker Thrash would of adjusted to the ball and caught it in his chest I remember the marks brothers as a kid they always bailed out Marino when threw it low they would run up to catch it not look at the ball hit the ground Browns need real playmakers at receiver
@@tycobb8621 no, but he’s still calling the same high school bullshit. Why’d he go for it on 4th down on the first drive? Take 3. Whys he run on 3rd and 4 with a mediocre rb and backup tackles. Another bad episode of preparation, coaching and play calling. Same shit that happened against Houston. Plus when I see Mahomes playing in the preseason I should see Watson.
@@greenhillscustomlawncarell1139 Lots of coaches go for it on 4th down and let’s be honest they need SOMETHING to spark them. Also, if you abandon the run with the kind of passes Watson was farting out you need to try and get the run game going. And if you remember Stefanski said Watson was playing the third preseason game and then Watson usurped him and said he wasn’t and I guarantee Haslam stepped in and backed his 230 million dollar paper weight.
@@tycobb8621 bad situational football. There are times to go for it and get your spark but the gameplan was terrible and the general play calling was bad. Where’s the spread offense Watson ran in high school college and the best years he’s had in the NFL. Hiring Dorsey is pointless unless he is calling the plays. Having a scheme on paper doesn’t mean Stefanski knows how to put together plays for a drive. Yes, the bills ultimately lost but they were consistently a competitive team year in and year out under Dorsey as OC AND Allen was the deep ball king. He was an averaging 40 touchdowns and 4000 plus yards. Allen did throw picks but those were picks 20-30 yards downfield because he was driving the ball down field all game. So if the threw 2 touchdowns to every pick it still worked to an extent. All I’m saying is if they run the same bullshit high school scheme, they’ll lose 10 games. Hand the headset to Dorsey and just be the head coach.

Losing Callahan this off season was huge.
Love the content man!! Keep it up!
Love listening to this! Go browns!🧡🤎
Appreciate you tuning in man!!

This well timed live helped me work through my emotions last night.
The run blocking is an issue, Chubb even when he comes back won't be the same.
Yeah I been saying even chubb isn't going to solve the issues for us

Browns played like they started training camp last Friday. The penalties alone!
Watson won’t last another game like that. He was physically assaulted yesterday.
Now he knows how it feels

That the starters didn't play in the preseason was a total mistake. We're 3 weeks behind.
