I've never visited (unfortunately) but it seems like everyone in Cuba takes immense pride in what they do. They can produce better results than an American with all his/her fancy tools and little work ethic. It's inspiring and sad at the same time.

Fantastic technique and making use with what few resources that are available! I have seen Jamaican street barbers shave with a naked double edge razor! I mean the barber held the blade in his hand with no razor(shavette or DE safety razor).
I am thinking this type of lather-less shave is typical of the Caribbean Region and this Cuban Barber's technique is virtually identical.
