Sweetie if having a cat brings you joy then absolutely. Listen to your heart and you will know when the time is right. I wash all my crochet blankets. Just on gentle wash and in the dryer they go. Im in my sixties and have two from my grandmother. All are washed. And absolutely use softner. Much love to you.
Cats are comfort for me. But I need a mellow cat and a Mainecoon is a big teddy bear. So, we shall see what this year brings to me. I think why I was afraid to wash this blanket was because it was unraveling because I crocheted over the ends. Lesson learned. I weaved in those ends and thru it in the wash. I did lay it out to dry though because my dryer has a place that likes to eat stuff, and I don't trust it. It might be time for a new dryer, LOL. Thank you for chatting! Have a great week!

I sell at markets galleries and some stores in the uk also wholesale.Sales are good but like yourself have gone down the road of batch making.Not tried Etsy but that might just be my challenge for this year! Love that your mum is so involved in your business.

Hello sweet girl, I feel your pain and have been praying for you over your loss of Raja. We have Chihuahuas (3) We have 3 urns of precious ashes (Minus a tad of each one, i used a bit for my tattoo) and the pain eases slightly but never completely gone. You need to follow your heart on the decision of getting another baby. I do believe that you should but thats me. My baby turned 2 this past Christmas and our other 2 accepted her immediately! I am soon to be 70 and hubby is 77. I could not even imagine our life without them. FOLLOW your heart! Thank you for being here for all of us that love you and our craft.

I just love the breed and their personality. So docile and cuddly, lazy and they love water. I will have one someday and until then I will keep dreaming of the day. Your blankets are so beautiful! About getting another cat....there is never a "good" time to get another cat after one passes. It's whatever you feel is best for you. For me, I don't grieve well and get new cats and dogs pretty quickly after one passes away because I can't handle the sadness.

Hello! That's awesome! I love using the nets. I clip them to the Gazebo with S hooks and then i clip things using clothes pins. You can also use laundry clips for plushies or whatever you are selling. Speaking of, what do you sell? Take care!🥰

About getting obsessed with something... When I first started crocheting about 3 years ago, I learnt how to make a baby blanket with bubble stitches for hearts. I got so obsessed with it that I made 10 of them. The same with knitting different sweaters. I made like 15 of the same pattern, almost all in a row hahaha... and 8 of another etc. The granny square blanket is BEAUUUUTIFUL, - WOW. My mom made me one years ago. I have washed it once, and it was fine. I can see in your eyes that you ARE going to get a new cat ;-) But I like the idea that you are thinking of traveling etc, so I vote for you waiting with the cat and travel around first, - you can even say to your husband: "Let´s go to Spain, - we can stay with my crochet-friend, Linda, and explore the south of Spain, Gibraltar (Great Britain) and Africa (Marocco)" hehe... I know the pain of losing a pet they are your fur babies? Just jump on in and get you another cat he will not take your other cats place, but it will help you a lot go to a rescue and get another one❤
Just like children, no pet replaces another. They all find little nooks and crannies in your heart to take up residence. I am allergic to all of my fur kids, and I still wouldn’t trade them for the world.
The first month is the hardest ❤🩹 I lost my dog in August and it still overwhelms me at times. I waited a couple months and then got a puppy. You can never replace the ones that have been lost, but adding a new one to the family helps bring back a little joy and happiness while filling the hole just a little bit 🥰
@@kraftykait I agree with you. I have lost pets before, but it is never easy. I do want another kitten, but I’m just not ready yet. Today I finally threw out the litter boxes and I’ve taken a deep dive cleaning & rearranging. Baby steps. But I am dreaming of a new baby. 🥹❤️

I would advise no fabric softener with baby items. Doctors suggest unscented for respiratory reasons. Beautiful blanket!
